🤣 I know we get it a bit easy down here, I have baled on hills with dual wheels to stop the tractor overturning but wouldn't like to make a habit of it.

Please explain why you are doing what you are doing. Include some economics, climate change implications, carbon footprint, carbon sequestration, how each video fits in to whole farm scenario. Cost of imputs, value of outputs, choices and their advantages/disadvantages, plenty to go at in future videos. Make each video are subject, perhaps focused on one aspect of the farm, for example preparing for winter, animals in winter, preparing for spring, machinery, your annual results in terms of soil improvement, wildlife, maintenance costs, profit/loss, market conditions. I could go on!

Thanks for the feedback Peter, think I might need a separate project to encompass a lot of your requests as quite a lot of viewers do like watching shiny machinery. I try to add a little bit of background but try not to go in to too much depth so not to bore people.

@@southeastfarming7030 I quite understand, I deliberately gave far too many ideas so that you would have plenty to go out over the coming years. Concentrate on a few things, such as carbon footprint and biodiversity for example, practical issues regarding use of sprays for pests and diseases, sorry going on again: Farming encompasses so much, that is why it's a way of life not a job.

hi are you worried about brexit? and do you lose every agricultural subsidy? i'm french farmer if i lose subsidy european i'm going bankrupt
@southeastfarming7030
@southeastfarming7030 3 жыл бұрын
Hi. No, not too worried about brexit. Our subsidies are decreasing over the next two or three years, what will replace them is as yet unclear. We would be in the same position as you but hopefully the growth of our contracting enterprise will help to fill the void left by the subsidy.

Hiya mate only just found your channel and really enjoying the vids, especially like seeing the New Holland/John Deere working, seeing you mowing reminds me of my time working on a local dairy farm back in 80s/90s when I did all the mowing but I only had a 2wd John Deere 3040 and trailed Taarup mower conditioner, now I just work on arable farms moved away from livestock but do miss it a lot, anyway looking forward to seeing the channel grow.

Thank you, pleased to hear that you are enjoying them, our John Deere is getting a bit tired these days so mainly get used on the hedge cutter but there will be plenty more footage of New Hollands to come.

@@southeastfarming7030 Cool Ford/New Hollands are my favourite brand of tractor as I grew up on a dairy farm during the 70s/80s and we had Fords so they hold a special place in my heart mate.
