Kid is smooth. Bigspin was clean it's kinda how I always did em, I'd basically do a kinda shifty popshuv catch it with front foot then finish the rotation. I'm an oldfuxk 40, back in the early/mid 90s I fuuuxkin hated skateparks. All we did was skate the city streets, and ledges, gaps, rails and like banks / were all I skated and parks back then were not set up for street skaters. There might of been a ledge or flat rail there so mostly I'd never goto a skatepark. But now, pffffff ohly shit. Alot of the parks I see now are fuxking amazing and its no wonder kids are so good now and the level of skating is so high.. ppl can roll up to the park and learn/practice what they need to take it to an actual city spot. Where as, we were having to show up at night, to some sketchy ass place, bondo and lay down street signs to try n get the trick. I'm not hating on it, woulda been sick to have that sht available to us back then, but also us not having it created the culture of street skaters. Ppl looked at us like we were hooligans, vandals, criminals and buckwild. And alot of us were. Our pants and shirts usually had a rip or tare from falling. We had shoelaces for belts, shoes in dif degrees of ripping.. Back then as a street skater, we kinda lived in the streets, we'd skate through em most of the day and night and you spend that much time out there you're gonna see some gnarly shit. As stoked as I am to see how good kids are getting, it's kinda bittersweet because the culture has changed, and I know that's inevitable. It's a trip seeing skaters spoken about like they're basketball or football players. Where as we were looked at like trouble, and we were. Ah damn. Apologies for the wall of text. ✌

Japanese skateboarders also love skateboarding on the street, and the production is all about shooting footage on the street. I often use skate parks to practice.
