Heads up that dandruff isn't solely a fungal disease. Dandruff is caused by the skin being irritated to a point it starts expressing genes that accelerate the skin's growth, so it flakes impropeerly. It's the same for flaky skin that's common on feet. The fungus does contribute, and contributes a lot in some cases, but it's only a single factor of many possible ones. Saying it's a fungal disease is just something some dandruff shampoo manufacturers came up with. Using a dandruff shampoo (that doesn't irritate your scalp) can definitely help, final straw and all that. People have also managed to fix their dandruff by eating healthier.

I personally like mica caps but the old man of the woods stock is an interesting concept; when something tastes like dirt it's hard to imagine how it could taste good, but I'm sure it's possible!

46:00 perhaps the lower 02 levels at high elevation have something to do with the larger fruiting bodies? Lower temps could play a role but generally freezing is never good for mushrooms so that could be a fine line.

This is very interesting! The information provided will help me in a project as we are measuring the levels of heavy metals such as arsenic and lead in store-bought mushrooms (organic and non-organic.) We're focusing in portabella and oyster, and excited to see what are our findings.
