I was told by the immigration officer that once you submitted your documents online, it is as good as you have already submitted it --- though ultimately, you need to submit them personally to make the photo and for the processing of the card to move along. I submitted mine online Oct 12 and the appointment schedule is on March 2024 but I needed mg ID because I eill be travelling on April so I decided to try my luck with the cues and was only able to submit it personally dec 8 and my ID expires dec 9, but i had to wait another month to get the ID, but its all good. So, I guess, what is important is to submit your complete correct documents online on time.
