Did you have to pay a fee to the city or get some sort of permission to do this project?

They are junk when you need to cut to a certain size when you try to install it as your pushing in the bottom piece that snaps in on the inside of the gutter will snap off! I tried scissors I tried a Stanley knife nothing works.

Bad advice. People will ruin their cables trying to force them like you said. Better to do it correctly and save time and money cause you will have to do it again anyways.

I am curious- did an engineer specify the size and depth of the new footing? I am not an engineer, so I honestly don't know, but it seemed like a pretty small footing.

It should have been 32"-36" deep. Rebar would have been a good idea also.

Why did you cut your panels short ? You left the underside of the center brace with ZERO insulation? Kinda defeats your purpose.
