15:37 American health inspectors would ding the living hell out of you for preparing food within inches of a spray bottle of contact disinfectant. The ironic thing about that is, American health inspection requirements are designed so that uneducated and untrained people are not given the opportunity to put spray disinfectant in the mousse, whereas in France they rightly figure "Hey, these guys all know what they're doing, so we're going to presume that these highly-trained and -experienced professionals will NOT put spray disinfectant in the mousse." So in France it's a matter of pride in mastering one's profession, whereas in America it's a matter of preventing Mongo from doing something outrageously stupid that could kill people. _Vive la France!_

@@wanderfood The American Health System of inspections was created to give jobs to adults who were once those nasty little Elementary School Hall Monitors, otherwise they wouldn't be able to support themselves! 😇

Your subtitles are too small for people who don't want to wear reading glasses bcs they tell me reading glasses make them tired quickly. Could you increase the font size? I know a handful of old folks who love rustic bread so I recommended your channel but they told me in order to read your subtitles (they don't speak french) they have to stop in order to put their mobile at a distance to help them read as they dislike reading glasses. Tqsm.

My great grand father and grand mother his daughter were bakers. As good as it looks they wore gloves even way back when they said it was cause of cross contamination and germs. Gramps always said you didn't want one food to taste like another. But this is another country and they don't wrap food either but in air sitting. Idk. I guess after living abroad I got a few things I didn't want to see.

may I ask, at your efficiency, how many kitchen staffs are needed to execute your daily load, including if having croissants? I live somewhere in Asia and about to create french style bakery, plan to specialise in levain bread. But I would like to hire people instead of doing it myself lol. Merci beaucoup
@thescribe711721 күн бұрын
Oh you're only interested in making Asian money but you aren't a baker, just a bizman. This lady baker will not reply to your query bcs you're way way beneath her! In rich Asian cities rustic country bread sells for a vg price. The people can afford to pay for low quality bread compared to what this baker has put into her loaves! In a small town/village if the owner is not himself/herself a baker then he/she has to close shop. In the big city the customers do not care so no wonder you're going to open a french bakery in an Asian city!

Thank you for taking us on a Hokkaido food tour. I wish you had told us the name of the food such as the one at 2:14 and its cost. I don't why some people say why you want to know the cost. Many have thought Singapore is very expensive until they've watched tourists making food vlogs about Singapore street food and found that Singapore is not expensive at all. You can get a plate of chicken rice for USD$5.00 and a cup of coffee for USD$1.00.

It was crab meat with miso. It cost 1800JPY. You are right it is a great way to know the price of living or traveling in a country. However for this specific case, it is a festival of food and during these types of events (or summer festival) the prices don't really represent the normal price as they tend to be more expensive as it is more an experience where you try different specialities. Thanks for the comments
