Man. I had had no idea that CYO survived my grandmothers passing. I had figured that when she passed 29 years ago, CYO would have gone with her. AFAIK, she founded CYO and was the only person running it. I spent many a weekday either in the CYO office she had in Balboa Park as a preschooler, or accompanying her to musical performances at schools. Her name was Beulah Henderson, wife of Bob Henderson. And she was the coolest grandma around. Seeing this is throwing me for a loop.

the violins are slightly out of tune, and in the beginning it needs more bounce; i must ask, is this a public orchestra or one must audition?

I like it at my scholl we play Star Wars arranged by Calvin Custer like in the video I play the clarinet!!

Isn't it wonderful to see young people using their talents in this way! See that pretty young blonde girl towards the back of the violin section? She's my granddaughter, and there isn't a prouder gramma anywhere, than me!!!!!

I hope some of these young artists will go on to pursue careers in professional orchestras.

yah, the strings needed to be louder, and the snare drummer was really off in places and needed to watch his dynamic level. Other than that, this was done beautifuly! Your brass played out and the tempo was accurate (as far as I could tell)

what is this man!! this is very bad. violin trumpet horn flute. very bad..But clarinet and harp is good.

its a very good interpretation but some of the notes in the first violin section are slightly out of tune...

Great performance! We played this piece today with the band as sight-reading practicing for a festival this week. I was very disappointed when we ended up handing the music right back in. Hopefully we'll get to play this some other time!

Well, it IS a Youth Orchestra. The brass is uncoordinated and the cymbals were out of sync at the end, but overall, a good effort.
