There’s something similar in Chicago known as 4+1’s. Built in the 1960’s they featured an open or closed garage on the ground level with 4 floors of apartments above.

TBH, these are basically the same as all of the shitty urban apartment units. Cheap garbage with a flashy facade. You'll get all of these nice looking buildings on the outside, and then you get inside and it's basically a prison cell. I don't get why people choose to live in these places. Unless you're there for the shipping port, there's really no reason to ever live in a major metro. The density creates too many unresolvable problems.

There are a lot of bad things about LA housing, but the way the architecture gets spiced up throughout the city has made it hard to go back to middle of america suburbia where the same 3 ugly designs fill an entire neighborhood, or in some cases entire towns.

Pointless, were fight bus and bike lanes in Los Angeles. Traffic is horrible, and now I hear the Olympics are on their way. 😑 Somehow streets are just being cleaned up. Smh

I lived in one when I was in the Navy at Long Beach. I was 19 years old, most tenants were early 20's. They made sense for us.

So where do ppl park their cars? now a days ppl own 2-4 cars per household, put all those houses that close together and now you got a 16 car problem with no parking space, yeah i see why bungalow's stopped being built..
