hi, just a bit of constructive feedback, if you could edit around sentences that would greatly improve your videos....edits that come in mid sentence or get cut off mid sentence are quite jarring.....

The Mekong is a large river in Vietnam, Lt Dan is telling Forrest and Buba to change their socks and keep the feet dry to not get Athletes Foot or other feet infections. Walking far with wet feet in a hot humid climate is a recipe for disaster.

The feather (which was real) was on a fine filament line and dangled and floated in front of a composite screen and then added to the background shots.

Stanley Kubrick, brilliant director ( see A Clockwork Orange, and The Shining, and then go for more) and in the same class as Hitchcock, Spielberg, Friedkin (director of The Exorcist and The French Connection which is AMAZING). The way he shoots and choreographs his scenes along with the music and background sounds is stellar. Watch some old Alfred Hitchcock flicks. they way he filmed and the sound recording he achieved back in the day is a great sign of what was to come.

Forrest Gump is a fictional character who was written into America’s most famous historical moments throughout the 50’s-80’s. Not sure how much American history you know but this film takes the viewer throughout American history with great soundtracks of music through each decade. You keep criticizing Jenny but it’s obvious she has a self esteem/relationship problem and it all started with the abuse from her father growing up. That relationship set the stage for future relationships with terrible men who treated her badly. She needed to break the cycle. And Forrest who isn’t intelligent by some standards has the most pure and trusting heart of all. That’s how he shines. This movie is about life. It’s ups and downs, inspirations and discouragements. I don’t know if “Peas & Carrots” is a uniquely American term, but it means “get along well together or compatible.

About the opening scene in Beyrouth, they were all famous dictators in the 80's...USA's government worked for decades to overthrow them, but Frank kocked them ALL out in less than 5 minutes.

People who didn't grow up during that time don't know that HIV/AIDS had a 100% fatality rate and there really wasn't any treatment for it at the time. Early drugs were vilified like AZT for being harmful, forgetting about the 100% death rate of AIDS patients. Drugs like AZT were a desperate attempt to buy a little more time hoping for a breakthrough in treating the fatal illness. History often gets rewritten by those who did not live thru it.
