It's nice to look back and see the better teams of DLS. Still a Spartan fan since 2000. I liked the white travel uniforms, but not the home green ones.

Grew up in Napa Ca. about 35 minutes from De La Salle... I played for and was co captain of the Vintage high 86' Section Champions Football team.. all we talked about was De La Salle. We were ranked #18 in the Nation that year, I believe De La Salle was Ranked #1 in the Nation.They were undefeated for like ever! Just Dominant! They almost always did it with smaller players and phenomenal coaching!

De La Salle football hasn't lost to a Northern California team in over 310 plus straight games & counting which is an unbelievable accomplishment. Unfortunately, they are not mystical & legendary program they once used to be as they have a 2-8 record the last 6 years against out of state and Southern California teams combined. The So Cal teams that dominated DLS during the past years Mater Dei & St John Bosco had possibly the best teams in H.S football history with QB's Jt Daniels, Bryce Young, and DJ Uiagalelei all Heisman hopefuls and starters for the Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson for this upcoming season.

Well, when you get the pick of the litter in Nor Cal, you have no competition until you meet up with another team that gets the pick of litter in So Cal. These private schools are in a league of their own. Public schools can rarely compete with them.

Hey David- Just wanted to shed some light if you hadn't seen for yourself. Utah is your best offer by far. Have you seen them play defense? STELLAR, best in the P12. Do you really want to go to Ariz or Colo over that? Your chances of getting to the league will diminish if you do. College football is abt being coached up to be great (unless your just off the charts good) and the Utah coaches have a knack for doing that and getting players to the league. Don't let that opportunity slip away..

This kid was rated WAY too low. Strong arm. Accurate. Incredibly quick release. Reminds me of Aaron Rodgers how fast he slings it out there, right on the money.

Because as much as you might not want it to be so, smoking weed, pot, kush, chronic, purple flowers, etc is illegal. It's not the action itself that's really bad, it's the illegality. It's sad that the fact that apparently "every football player at Oregon smokes pot" is looked on as ok; these kids are not helping themselves succeed. What they should be doing is devoting their time to school and football, not spending the universities money (scholarships) on drugs.

I shouldn't have to tell an Oregon fan about all the problems Oregon has had, but in 2010, Oregon had five players arrested for a variety of crimes including robbery, battery, speeding, weed problems, etc. Some names that come to mind are Cliff Harris, LMJ, Masoli, Alonso, and I know there were a few others. Kelly has been pretty hard for some of the problems, but it would be even better if these things never happened. Not recruiting the morally and ethically bad players would help.

I doubt unless you're inside the Oregon program that you can predict which recruits Oregon is going to get. Recruiting isn't anywhere near an exact science; the best you can do is make an educated guess. Besides, it's a kid's decision, no one knows what's going on in his head except him; all the interviews, comments, and declarations count for zilch. What really matters is that signature. Oregon needs to get on their players to think more, they have been having way to many offseason problems

The trend among recruiting the last few years is to wait until NSD, not decide early. And Tyner is not the #1 RB in the country, he's #9 according to the ever reliable ESPN :). Just busting your balls, but if you compare this year's class to a class say five years ago, many more recruits aren't committed at this point in the year. Besides, decommittments have become more prevalent too; I would rather have a recruit be absolutely sure he wants to go to the school before committing.

It's waaaay to early in the recruiting process for someone to be destined to go to a school @NikeAddictedToQuack, especially in Michael's case. He's been quoted multiple times saying he has no idea where he wants to go, so saying he's going to USC just because he got caught up in a recent commitment is misguided. Every school will get a fair shot at Hutchings, and its a long time before NSD. It should be a great battle between the local schools.
