The carbon steel in those axes isn’t too bad. It sharpens easily. However I would not have burnt the handle. Remove varnish and apply BLO. Every day for 1 week,once a week for a month, once a month for a year, then once a year after.

Very nice, I love Colt snake guns! In 1994 I bought an Anaconda for $450 I traded it off but got it back a few years ago. Also own one of the new Pythons and King Cobras, wish they were the older ones but owell I still like them :) Awesome Big Snake yall have!

Years ago I had the Smith 4" 500 but traded it to an AR-10. Fast forward now I own the Smith 8 3/4 Inch barrel. I really love shooting underwood ammo through it. These days if you don't roll your own you need to take out a loan just to shoot them. I really like the looks of your Taurus, congrats!
