first you need to get rid of the grubs that the crows are after,the birds clean them out quite well if you can tolerate regrassing.

proves you are doing a great job you and your team to have a county game on at your club... hope it all goes well mate !! . have a pint to relax !!!

In all measurable ways the ground is in better condition than it used to be but that doesn’t stop the self doubt and odd moments of panic. Unfortunately due to medication I don’t drink anymore, I think this year so far I’ve had one small bottle of Cider. I’ll relax after the last home game on Sep 18th :)

It's a tough job, many hills and valleys and a real struggle some times. It is clear to see you do a good job and keep remembering that .

You and your team do a fantastic job with your ground . I am always worried about how my track plays . It's good you care. Just a message away if you need to rant . Keep up the great videos !!! Top stuff

I am pretty sure you are not alone. Thank you for naked honesty of your video. Sometimes I think many of those expectations are self-imposed, however the comments from armchair experts really do not help on occasions. For me the anxiety stems from knowing that you are dealing with a natural environment that you can't totally control and often don't have the time to get anywhere near what you want to achieve. That process starts again with every strip, it's never jangling. Enjoy the gap between games

wow thats some round of golf.... well played .. did i miss the grimsby cricket pictures ??? all that hard work and they cry off with 7 ... grrr top video as ever .
@steelheadplayer3 жыл бұрын
Grimsby was the clean looking Ransomes mower. It was a Lincs junior game so not appropriate to do much with video and there were a few issues around the ground / playing conditions which took up my time. The golf is getting better now I can play regularly. I had about 20 years where I couldn’t due to a spinal injury but that’s now been fixed. I did use to have a single figure handicap which was going lower until I got hurt. Just had a quick 9 holes today and was level par so delighted with that. Cheers for the comments

great video as ever . how did the golf go ???
@addictedtograss80833 жыл бұрын
The golf is slowly getting better considering I stopped playing 20 years ago and only restarted properly this year , anywhere from mid 80's to mid 70's depending on how lucky I get.

Good morning. Assuming you look after the Normanby Park ground. I've just started this season to help look after the ground at Healing and was wondering what advice you can give for someone starting out? Thanks
@addictedtograss80833 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt , yes its Normanby I look after. All I can suggest is research , plenty of good guidance on youtube and facebook etc , join your local GMA, take advantage of any training you can get and learn what works on your ground, just following the basics will mean you won't go far wrong. Best of luck
