I use the 5 Rule with running english but the the rule is 5 to 2 to hit 3 then the pocket. Your calculation 5 to 3 to 2 could be ok for new cloth to adjust for the impact caused by the new cloth or maybe if no running english is used. Please try other tables.
@moudaraliofficial13 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The 5 Rule variations you mentioned (5-2-3 vs. 5-3-2) definitely make sense, especially considering factors like running English, table conditions, and even new cloth. I'll test this approach on different tables and surfaces to see how the adjustments play out. Appreciate you sharing your perspective-always open to learning from others in the game!

@ I agree, not all the tables play the same, that’s why it’s preferable to play some kick shots as a pre game routine to see how the different rails play/react 👍
@scooperjs16 күн бұрын
So, if you’re playing a match, you need four different spots on the wall, difficult to remember, mi assume. So is one supposed to determine a spot on the wall, on the fly, by lining up a spot from corner five and then calculating offsets from that as determined by the location of cue ball and object wall? Is that how it is done?

While there are some things not explained in this video such as that before the 5th diamond pocket the count is 4.5 and goes by half numbers and not directly to the diamond but across from the diamonds. I do feel like you covered some things that werent mentioned on other videos ive watched on the subject. The quality of hit you will get on the ball i think will be according to how much english is applied and how much top english so i think sometimes if you use too much english it will cause you to not contact the back of the ball and instead the side. Thanks for covering this system and reminding me how consistent it can be.
@moudaraliofficial4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The quality of the hit and how much English you apply can make a big difference in your results. It's all about finding that balance to ensure you're making contact with the ball where you intend to. Logically this video should edit out from 0:57 sec to 2:35 and place it at the end. It just makes sense to explain the system from one shot location "5" and its iterations and how the Formula works. Then move the cue ball once we understand. I missed where you said Running English for all shots (which is required). IN MY OPINION the formula falls short in that the ANSWER is a target on the rail not actually where the Object ball is. I learned this technique (not with a formula) by starting from position five and hitting target 3, locking it in (10 straight consistent successful shots) then shooting at the next target 2 and see what happens. I honestly don't care where the cue ball will hit on the third rail just like this formula completely ignores where it will hit on the second rail. Repetition makes makes things predictable and takes the FORMULAS out....

I spent a ton of time trying to figure this kicking method out over the past two years and found that you must visualize the "ghost ball "at the object ball to have your best chance of kicking the object ball into the intended pocket. The "ghost ball " location straight (Square to the table) into the first rail of contact is the starting point . Also, iI only extend my cue into the "Rail Track" and not up on top of the cushion, then turn my cue to the center between the OB and the CB, then look to see where the "Ghost ball "intersects your angled cue (parallel to the long rail in the video). That is the contact point straight across on the long rail at the "rail track". Lastly, this kick uses NO spin, just a rolling cueball along the vertical centerline. It is an extremely difficult shot to make on a consistent basis. You have to do all of the steps perfectly to pull it off (Pocket the OB) if you just want to hit the object ball you can get away with less precision. I am interested in all comments related to this kicking method.
@moudaraliofficial9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Visualizing the ghost ball certainly will improve precision. I agree that you have to pull all the system elements correctly to get the result you want, but I am sure One can get consistent once mastered. It's evident that you've invested a lot of time to understand this kicking technique and I admire that! Thank you for sharing your expertise, and I look forward to exploring more insights from you in the future!

If you count the exact number of diamonds between the object ball and the cue ball and simply aim at the mid point on the rail. This would be the same without using the cue stick? Just a thought. Thanks for the video.
@moudaraliofficial9 ай бұрын
What you are suggesting works if the object and the cue ball are on the same line! The system I demonstrated works irrespective of the object and cue ball positions on the table. Thank you for your comment!
