Just a note from someone who went through a no water experience. A gallon of water per day for two people.... JUST FOR HAND WASHING ALONE. For real. It was shocking. Never mind boiling a pot of pasta or bathing the baby. LOAD up on water friends!!! Also disinfecting wipes and unscented baby wipes will be your friends in a power outage. Second to my oil lamp, those are the next thing I bring out in an outage, honestly, I live in a place where outages happen everytime the wind blows.

Hi I have a baofeng radio and one of those bendy big antennas but doesn't seem to.make tye signal anybetter. Be looking into the other antenna you have now. Oh can you do a video of what you do to get your radio channel ect. Oh and do you need a licence??

@@philwhitehead8706 hi there, no licence is needed in the uk for 446 use, make sure your uv5r is on 'channel mode' then type in 446 093, thats the calling channel (8), best to find somewhere very high and try from there, where abouts are you? Maybe there are stations near you!

New to radio, my question is how shield of coax is connected to PL239 so the receive signal can be transmitted to baofeng (or it doesnt have to be connected and the rx signal goes through central wire? in sma both rx and tx go through same wire i think)

@@startychh the pl259 plug has a central core and an outer core, inner core is tx (out) and the outer mesh is the rx.

The center conductor is used in both TX & RX. The outer mesh is used for ground, also known as a counterpoise.

Its not top for tx and bottom for rx....the are both needed for both

Thats a negative sir, the top is transmit, The bottom is recieve, they are a separate function.

Why would you suspect an MOT failure? The bus is in exceptional condition and just passed its MOT in may with no advisories.

Nice vehicle, would you consider 4wd, really makes a big difference , with 70 /30 tyres so their good in all terrain but also quite on the road, just a suggestion, keep up the good work 👏

New to this hobby and new to this channel, a most excellent tutorial on creating this dipole! I wonder, being a total noob, would the reception/transmit be hampered if the 2 elements were completely enclosed with pvc pipe and pvc endcaps? I just thought it would be cool and mysterious to have it set up like that🙂 Gratitude for your work here, much appreciated. Subscribed!

@@kentprepper6392 which particular I meant, top flap looks old and the glimpse is brief lol, mines a modified Longback and iirc the tag was '04 on it so newer than yours I think.👍 and thankyou for the reply.
