deara wrote a letter to the quoile anglers stating "the department does not re-stock non native fish" in reguards to the seal in the quoile that ate all the big pike but they fill every lough they have with rainbows lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Bill That was lough Mask I was fishing and I dont know how it was named lough melvin was taken from the Irish name lough Meilghe which in turn was named after an Irish KIng. hope this helps

No pike been seen for a few years now. Seals have been blamed as they come way up river and pike are so slow

Michael O Halloran thats the lackagh river in donegal short river with only a few pools my guide was john mc laughlin he is the manager of cloughan lodge on the frver finn hope this helps

Thomas Mcmahon always had big pike in it - sometimes I wonder if the freshly stocked fish helped to feed them?! Seem to remember catching a few rainbows in it back in the mid 90s along with the browns. Had a great evening rise back then during the summer months. Lots of sport on suspender buzzers

dlow364 Fly fishing def better from a boat. Only a couple of spots on banks but plenty of spots for spinning hope this helps

killa kristian Its at donaghcloney just after the bridge. Heading out of town Day tickets available £5 a day or free if you have a deara permit and license but still need to get ticket from tackle shop just as you come of the exit for lurgan Hope this helps

Hi Stephen yes I fish the Lagan all over I live in dunmurry and shawls is a great wee spot I am on the committee of the Iveagh angling club and our waters are from maheralin to thornyford bridge on the Lagan. If you ever want any info drop me a message. Great sport tight lines

Wouldn't know where to start with fly fishing. Took up fishing at 40 it was that or either a mid life crisis lol. Now I'm addicted

the lennon good river for salmon..my ass..live on the river and fish it constant..a salmon is rare on this river nowadays..maybe 10 years ago
