Their songs were like a unique emotion and mind space all of their own. I believe they were the most artistic band in history with Layne Staley. No matter who you are as the listener you can connect with their music in one form or another. Their music has a way of tapping into your emotions and mind simultaneously. They had magical chemistry between each member in the original lineup that can never be matched or rivaled in my opinion. I hate the fact that drugs destroyed the band but i truly believe drugs contributed to their creativity and beauty of their songs.Plus gave their music absolute honesty of their feelings in their songs.Rest in heavenly peace Layne S.and Mike Starr. Life is one big mindfuck trying to understand and interpret the intentions of others. Layne was excellent at putting it into lyrics.

Jerry's vocals always sound so great on their acoustic songs. Their music just has a different tone when he's the lead vocalist. I love how different him and Layne are, yet they pair so well together.
