Quite a climb at the start. Reminiscent of some Cinque Terre hikes we’ve done where you have the trail to yourself.

We stayed there too! LOL the maid told us off for putting our rucksacks on the bed 🤦🏼‍♂️ But at least she didn’t rearrange all our stuff, so I guess we escaped lightly 😅. Glad to see you got your cake in the end. Is a day really a day at all if you don’t get cake? ❤

Great to be seeing you again, we’ve missed you. LOL yeah, the graffiti is shocking 😱😉😂. It brought back the horror of Combarro hill immediately seeing you turn off the Main Street and up those time alleys 😂. We were tired by the time we reached that first cross 😅. So very pleased you made it to the Pilgrim’s Blessing. What a fabulous moment that was. We’re trundling around in Vandalf in a chilly Germany at the moment but hope to see you when we’re in the UK. This looks amazing, I'm thinking about doing this part of the SWCP and am thinking about camping where you did but I was worried about finding a flat part but obviously there is because you camped there😁👍

Congratulations. We plan on doing this camino in the Fall. We are both in our 70’s. Will you be posting your accommodations and mileage? We probably won’t want to climb into bunk beds, but like many seniors are on a limited travel budget so a list and reviews of places would be so appreciated. Also, did you prebook before leaving or along the way. I am hoping I can use booking,com etc to book accommodations on the road.

The Cherry Tree dose superb light lunches, cakes are excellent and can be eaten in or take away, nice to see it’s still in business, it is the Doombar, Doom bar was a much better pint as was Sharps other beers before it was sold to Molson-Coors

We did this today! 14.8 miles, the gradients the first 3/4 were so intense but very rewarding (especially the fish and chips at the end in Brixham)

As a walker as well as a cyclist I have to agree with you regarding using a bell, which I always do, but some walkers have earphones in and can’t hear the bell

I’ve walked from Lynton down to Lynmouth, up to Watersmeet and on to the Blue Ball inn, couple of pints and a meal down to Foreland Point, back to Lynmouth and back to Lynton, spent a lot of time in Lynton & Lynmouth I don’t half miss the area, reminds me of happier times, watching this makes me want to go back so much, thank you 👍

Alright mate thinking of doing the south west coast but starting from swanage, any advice on wild camping the path ?

Waterproof socks and an umbrella. I bought my waterproof socks via Temu, a lot cheaper than Seal Skinz by several 100%, just as good.

Hello you lovely people! We are so enjoying your videos. Firstly, you are both delightful, and funny ❤️ Secondly we are loving the chance to relive our walk and to be reminded of what we saw, but with the addition of being able to see some of the places we didn’t. Thirdly, there’s a teensy weensy bit of schadenfreude of watching you guys battle the weather too, and loving the fact that you didn’t let it get you down either. I think you were only a little bit behind us so the “extreme coastal events” were still happening by then 😂 We’re interested to know your thoughts on the “Coastal” vs the Litoral? The elevated stone "box" is for storing grain if I remember. You should see them in wood or stone, for keeping the rodents out. I begin my hike in Valenca on 27 May this year.

Talcum powder for your shoes, keeps them fresh and helps inside your socks to keep blisters at bay.

Loving watching your progress on this walk and your adaptations depending on weather etc. I have to say some of the inland walk seems more interesting and appealing to me. Love a bit of woods or rocky paths. The coastal path looks like a lot of tarmac and flat seascape. Quite different to the SWCP (I wondered if you enjoyed that more despite it being a greater distance and tougher challenge in some ways). Your first campsite looked and sounded pretty awful - the noise and being wedged in between those caravans!! Had you planned to camp more on this path originally? It seems such a shame to have to carry all the kit when you can enjoy those lovely little rooms that you've found. I'm assuming camping would be a cheaper option? A little info on the pros and cons would be great if you have learnt a little along the way. Well done both of you - through wind and rain, still smiling. Still finding the coffee and cake LOL!! Looking forward to the rest of your journey.

It’s so great to see the same places. I think we came inland there for a little while due to the weather but then ventured back to the coast. But we went past the donations cafe/stall too. It’s so funny because Google has his location down as “Albino” or something but they’ve just spelled his name incorrectly 🤦🏼‍♂️😂 Great video that brought back some happy memories. Looking forward to seeing the next ones 👍🏼❤️

Looks like you had another great day despite the dull weather. You put us to shame with your 13.5 miles. We walked only half that distance yesterday (from Hemmick to Portloe) without so much as a rucksack and still nearly fainted when we discovered there was no ice cream shop 🤣.

💜Fab vlog. You look as if you really did enjoy that day of walking a little inland through small villages and countryside. The path looked well marked too and better established than previous sections. I had to replay to get what you said when passing the farmer in his cabbage field with his tractor, I thought you said 'just like Kernow' I thought yes just like the old Cornish boys for sure, but after several replays it sounds like Pernod not Kernow.
