There was just another really intense storm today in Ebeemee, knocked a tree on our property.

Looks like one! I don't think Eagles dive into the water down like that, I see Osprey at the Bates College pond dive for gold fish and they go head first like that.

Interesting that bears evolved to hibernate, whereas other animals did not (many bird species migrate) -- hibernation seems like a better survival strategy, assuming there is enough food available in the late summer and fall to build fat reserves -- trying to survive over winter as a predator must be incredibly difficult

The heron didn't have any fish in its crop. Otherwise, the heron would have disgorged them, drawing the eagle down to the water to have grabbed at them before they could have sunk out of reach--. Eagles actually like other fishing birds like herons in their territories, because most of them are specialized for catching fish and better at it than the eagle-itself--; who is "not" as specialized for catching fish--; because it is "also" adapted to catching other large birds, including the ones that also catch fish--. Usually it doesn't have to complete the capture, though--; since the eagle is even happier with the fish the targeted bird instead relinquishes, since there's no more chase, no dangerous fight against a bird with a dagger-shaped beak, no tearing or plucking.

Such very beautiful scenery up in Maine.🥰❤️👍🏻. I’d love to go there someday but not too easy to travel with me being a Dialysis patient however, I can get the scenes from this channel and also from other wildlife channels too. God bless and thank you you. Love the snow top Mountains in the background. Sue M. Florida ❤️🥰👏🏻👏🏻😘🙏❌⭕️

We have heaven up here. The politics are not great, but I guess you can't have it all. I hope one day you're able to come up here. ❤❤❤

@@nikkivenable73 So kind to hear from you Nikki. Yes, I can honestly say that I feel that no matter where a person lives that Politics is disgusting my friend. They are only for themselves and no one else. But, it surly would be awesome to come up there to even just look around cause the scenery just looks so breathtaking. There is this show that comes out of Maine called The Maine Cabin Masters and I just loved that program but the channel they were on was taken off our cable about two yrs ago and I haven’t been able to catch it. But also the scenery would be so beautiful to just look at too. God bless you and have a good night. Sue M. Florida ❤️🙏🥰👍🏻❌⭕️
