One of the best radio plays I have ever heard. The performances of all members of the cast are spot on.

Geoffrey Household, wrote "Rogue Male." He was also a prolific writer of thrillers and other stories, many set in eastern Europe.

Just in case someone is curious about the musical piece the band is playing in the background, whilst Poirot is sitting in the garden in Montecarlo, here it is www.loc.gov/item/jukebox-647877

There were about 50 of these plays transfered from Google. Now I can only find 2. Where are the rest!?

A suberb production. Music was creepy and never got old. Acting is great. Good conclusion to the mystery and horror scenes, as well.

John Moffat was probably the best known Hercule Poirot until David Suchet came along. To me Mr Suchet looks and sounds exactly as I imagined Poirot when reading his adventures. He's just perfect.

@@pakde8002 So, in my opinion, is John Moffat, since he sounds almost identical to David Suchet. They are both so wonderful & these radio dramatisations are every bit, again in my opinion, as good as the Suchet televised Poirot. ❤❤❤

I recognized Clive Merrison's voice from a series of Sherlock Holmes radio plays. Too bad he didn't have a bigger part here. Anyway, a very nice 5-part dramatization.
