I've always been curious about a full vid recording of the show as well. And yes, I completely agree. The musical seemed like it was trash! Even Mel B didn't like the musical and wanted it to be a story about the group. I wouldn't be surprised if the other girls probably lowkey regret it. It sucks cause we know that Jennifer Saunders and Judy Craymer are capable of good writing, but they fell flat with VF thinking that they'd have another Mama Mia on their hands.

It's crazy that no one shot it. I don't think the bootleg video shooting is has become as common as it has for broadway. Although, i would rather have a few people who get a clear shot of a show than some of the crap i find now from traders. If the show takes place at a high school they think its the most amazing show. I have found most of the teen musicals to be very lacking for me. mean girls, be more chill, heathers, I found them just meh.

I think most of the blame for it sounding bad is just the nature of amateur recording from your seat with a phone mic. I will say i am disappointed with the arrangements. This show sounds like you basically get people acting a weak story that is written just to get to the next spice girls song. Then hearing someone else do the original arrangement seems like just watching a spice girls concert video would be more entertaining and much cheaper. This seems to have been mainly been catering only to their fans and not thinking that it could have been more. It probably could have used a better creator. I think people saw Mama Mia and think, i can do that with my catalog. Most of those shows closed pretty quick.

@@jacksonweber8654 Mama Mia, I enjoyed when i first saw it many many years ago. And Jukebox shows usually suck so wasnt expecting much. They did a great job with the production. It wasn't something I would chose to see a second time unless I had too, but I felt they did a good job of basically adapting the script of the film Buona Sera Mrs Cambell (but wont admit it). I thought the movie adaptation really showed how without the neat lighting and a decent singing cast, the show was not good. Moulin Rouge, I actually found the show was not as enjoyable as the film. I felt like the show became more about the adapting songs into unusual styles the way postmodern jukebox does. It felt like a gimmick and took me away from the story. And songs which were done well for the movie they turned into mashup overkill "Sparkling Diamonds" redo, starts out fine, but then where the song should end it goes into All the Single Ladies which took me right out of the feel they set up with the rest. In Dance Of the Vampire, the moment that "Total Eclipse of the Heart" comes on, it became so ridiculous and while its actually appropriate for the show, just pulled me out of even something that is supposed to be light. Almost like they are going "look we are clever, huh" When I wrote my comment I was not aware though Viva Forever was done by the Mama Mia creator. WTF happened to Jennifer Saunders I dont know, I think she only had AbFab in her, and thats why, i guess, has only written more of that for the last 20 years. She's run that shows humor into the ground. I enjoy good ridiculous comedy musicals and Things like the spongebob musical and Xanadu took properties that i would think would be horrible and made them very entertaining. I feel like they wrote this for the spice girls fans, and expected their fans to still be 9-14 year olds. Have you seen &Juilet? That was God awful although the people seem to like it. I have not seen Motown, I assumed that was like a Jersey Boys show, where the songs are all just the artists songs. They don't further the plot kind of thing. I wanted to see that, love Morgan James and she was in it. Just didnt get the chance.
