I'm going to collect a few rules mistakes if you don't mind. At 33:06 shouldn't you have moved both the S-class raiders in to fight with Unity? They were both in range and they have swarm. When an event is triggered, the card is drawn at the end of the active player's turn. At 52:57 when you have to spawn in S-class raiders because the required is already on the board, you need to spawn in 2 of them. ☺️

At around 39 min. When you moved on the unity wheel. He got a brown and a repair. When he did the repair he didn’t have anything to repair so you just moved on. What you should have done on page 7 in escalation rule book is if unity performs a repair and nothing to repair unity gains 1 vp

* Other mistakes.. Leaving this pinned comment for anything else wrong I may have done 😅 -I know I was getting a little sloppy towards the end.. I grabbed the wrong adventure card from my last purchase but it didn't matter since either would have just been the same 5 points at the end. Bare in mind this was shot around 1:00 am, haha.

*** Huge rule mistake! I was confused about how storing goods works and did not realize that you only have to discard down to one barrel after somebody takes the captain roll during the end of the shipment phase! For some reason I thought you had to discard surplus goods down to one at the end of the round... You also get to hold ALL of one type of good at that time with manned storage buildings and more if you have the large storage.. Oh boy, that makes more sense and totally would have changed the way we played but at least we were both playing with the same poor man rule "variant" haha 😅 Sorry about that mistake in this playthrough! *** Second big mistake we made was that the recruiter phase employee replacements only count empty spaces on buildings, not estates or quarries! We were counting all of the spaces, regardless of what tile they were on.. Whoops!

When you buy 2 of the same module type you advance only one space on the track

At the end of Unity's first turn you were supposed to check and execute a Raider Strike, which would have led to a battle

Just a quick note, when an event is triggered it’s resolved at the end of the turn, not the beginning. Nice playthrough though

Pinning this comment to mention our goof ups.. *** Also, PLEASE reply with anything else you noticed and thank you so much for those who already have! * We didn't setup our hands properly and forgot to grab a starting quest, tavern, and forge card. * We should have waited until our turn to construct our starting handle. * When questing we were only drawing one card.

I can't help but realize they made a couple mistakes in the setup and one of them was pretty big. The one not as big was the fact that you instantly equipped the handle but you're supposed to just put it in your hand, this is sort of important because you normally want to wait before equipping so that your opponents can't target them. Another much bigger mistake was the fact that they didn't set up properly, because you are supposed to draw 1 tavern, forge, and quest card along with the handle, so you basically skipped a huge chunk of the assembly phase.

Great Play-through! The Hexagon starting mat allows you to reserve hive tiles "from the box" (not from the board).

Hi, i like the game, made 3 campaigns and it's still nice to understand small changes in the game, in strategy. Sometimes i do not use the Good cards we win in the end, not to make the game to easy ! Leave it to it's initiak dificulty ! :)

I think at 8:55 when you get something from forge, you put that card in hand, only in assembly phase you can mix your sword. also you can reforge your weapon in forge, you discard one piece from your weapon and replace discarded piece with new one. 14:55 If you want go questing, you take 2 cards, if its curse you have to play it, but rest of cards go into your hand. Action cards you can play anytime you want, gear cards you can play in assembly phase

I remember when I first saw this game, I thought it was the coolest idea ever and I really loved the idea of having enemy tokens that you can shuffle and randomize, and then place into rooms in random places, facing random directions. I still love this idea. But then I got the game and saw how many tokens there were. Took the game over a friends house and we did the first three missions. Going through all of the tokens in order to find JUST the peasants and the dogs to randomize them for the first mission made it so that the initial set up took longer than the game itself.

Something to remember Zombicide is a sand box game. you can pick and choose what to use from each setting. I don't consider that I have Black Plague and Green Horde(soon to add White Death) as separate games; I have Fantasy Zombicide as I mix all of it together. Same with Modern though 2E is a bit tile and item light(had all of 1E together). They did produce a set of cards to use all the 1E Zombies in 2E. Western only has what it has currently. but when more comes it'll be mixed in. Marvel Zombies and soon DCeased. They are such fun games, and I'm a mini junkie some of the Zombies can be a slog fest to get through; however, the Survivors, Abominations, and other special bits are fun to paint too.

Thanks for this. We broke it open & started playing recently, & it's good fun. But there's a LOT of ambiguity over some situations, such as what you described with Mandar's magic attack, or such as if an alert enemy flees into a spawn area or enemies have an action relying on line of sight on a previously seen hero whose since gone out of their LOS. Heroquest reissue (which this is obviously influenced by) may be relatively simple but sometimes there's value in that. Don't regret buying it as it's good, but our HQ nights definitely flow easier & quicker

Mizutsune is the bubble dragon from MH. That one monster does look similar. I didn’t get the 3 element expansions myself but I will if they are available in the reprint campaign. The 5th player exp comes with a mini campaign called Mount Havoc that is 3 monsters. Nightmare gives you a harder mode for some of the core monsters kinda like master rank in MH.

Hardest part for me is finding someone else interested in playing lol

Yes, more variety is good. Since you can mix and match enemies, aboms and necros, you have probably a lifetime of fun if you own a bunch of all three and love the game. And having the gameplay different for white death is great too. Other Zombicides are for people who are not interested in fantasy or are newcomers. The only issue is character bloat. There are just only so many characters you need. Each character is equivalent of one enemy type. So you only need probably at max 20-100 to be set for life (depending on how often you play). But you do not need to buy everything anyways. Just the three retail sets will be enough for most. Between all three, you have really good enemy and boss variety with minimal overlap.

I am considering backing this, but I don't know if I should go for acrylic tokens or no. Do you use the acrylic or the cardboard? Recommendation?

if you still havent found out (or just for people here, i had to check it too), an "automa" is essentially another term for a boardgame AI, simulating an enemy. I guess so u can play for 2 players "solo".
