I was there, we had to park like 15 miles outside and get bussed in, they did not allow any food because they wanted you to buy their crap food on site. We got there a day early and it was like this utoppian scene with only a few thousand people. Saturday was when the gates got crashed and the real shitshow began. We camped on top of a hill and after the rain the only way up was to a human chain of people helping people up the hill. It took an hour to get from one stage to the other because all of the mud funneled people into narrow paths. The music on Saturday was unbelievable though. The only one I missed was Melissa Etheridge. Joe Cocker Blind Melon Cypress Hill Rollins Band Melissa Etheridge Crosby, Stills, & Nash featuring John Sebastian Nine Inch Nails Metallica Aerosmith

just the fact that that distributor still has the factory cover on it usually as an indicator, it has low mileage obviously, the yellow spark plug wires are aftermarket, but if that rubber distributor cap cover is on and in good condition, it could actually be 54,000 mile engine

Looks like it could be coming out of the leak detection pump filter. If that’s the case then it may not be a leak. Or either the pump is stuck open causing the smoke to escape out of the filter.

I hope you sanded the interior cover paint cause that inner cover paint will sludge like mine did.... I installed this cover at the beginning of summer on my 2001 and then I started reading about the inner cover paint destroying and removing the lubricity of the oil cause it made it thicker creating heat... I removed the bottom bolt and my oil was dripping thick in grey color with metal flakes... It was the paint... I got most of it out and refilled it back up.

So, how did that Pioneer cable end up working out? Since it’s been a couple years now. Gotta do it on a 85 in the spring and there’s 2 cables available (ATP & Pioneer) both owned by the same parent company. From what I can find the ATP is supposedly a lesser quality cable. Curious how it’s worked out if he’s been driving it since.

@@daredevil7442AUTOMOTIVE all of a sudden I have had fumes and smoke coming out of my breather cap along with more oil spitting out and more than usual oil consumption. I have no smoke out of the tailpipes and the car still runs great...no overheating issues and according to the factory gauge good oil pressure so its mind boggling. My car has no PCV system and when it was dyno tuned that was taken into consideration. The shop I use recommended they install a catch can because the engine could be getting tired and old. I am wondering if I have leaky valve guide seals unless it's my rings but I would think I would have smoke from the tailpipes which I don't.
@daredevil7442AUTOMOTIVE2 ай бұрын
@@RJBTrueBlue99 sounds like to much crank case pressure? How many breathers are you using? Catch can will help big time. Check your 1 way check valves in vacuum system? Also, I would do a compression check? Why not…easy enough. As far as guide seals? Idk? Pull a plug and use a boroscope camera and look for oil dripping on valve? Dirter then normal piston? Oily plug? If there is a valve guide issue, one of those symptoms would show? That’s all I could think of right now? Let me know what you find? That’s an interesting problem.

@@daredevil7442AUTOMOTIVE I just recently had the head gaskets and front cover and gasket replaced. I am just using one breather. If it's a major problem and it's the grim reaper knocking I will do the catch cans and just drive it until it's time is up and a 347 will be going in.

Thanks for the helpful video. Where did you hook up your smoke tester? I have the same tester and hooked it up to my PCV pipe on the throttle body. I get smoke from the EGR Valve and TPS too, but I think that's normal since the TPS doesn't have any rubber grommet or gasket. I think it's just too much air pressure from the smoke tester.
