I am guessing a North East facing (rear roof would be install position) wouldn't be any good for the Solar thermal tubes? Or would a 2 person household simply have like 25 tubes installed?

Anti freeze is not better than water as heat transfer. Anti - freeze over priced water £100 for 20 lts , joke.

I have a Vaillant heatpump and it keeps going wrong. Very disapointed as I spent a bit more than I wanted to in order to get a level of quality. I have had 4 visits from an engineer but still keeps going wrong and it's new.
