I think video was a flash in the pan. I had sales guys who were closing internet leads like crazy for 6-7 months purely off of video walk around/personalized follow up videos. Customers would walk in the door and the videos would be the first thing out of their mouths. Months later the sales guys were making the same content for new customers, sending the same amount of videos and getting less and less views. It doesn’t take long before everyone hops on the train and customers don’t care because it’s not different anymore. I work in a store in a larger metro area, so that may explain why it happened that way in my area.

Thats so true.. i am bdc team leader .. i have a team of 8 people running 3 small dealerships ..i always point out the positive from my team if they make a mistake i always show them a way they could had corrected it so they dont do it again.. always inspire my team..training n coaching them is always part of my daily routine

Most people can’t be reoccurring customers especially on a 6yr 20-100,000 dollar financial agreement so getting new customers is the best way to go for specifically a car business

I agree that it’s a challenge these days with the cost of cars and extended financing term. Developing a strong repeat customer base can absolutely be done but it does take time. Getting new customers is vital and with effective trade cycle management, they can and will become repeat customers. Plus most people have multiple drivers and vehicles so prospecting with them will fill the funnel!
