What makes this version so good is the small venue and the shear fun they are having. JK is working the stage in this small club just like he does in a big venue. This is still my go to for Canned Heat. Just a fantastic performance. Imagine being there and hearing this band perform.

I went to a live performance at the Budokan in Jamiroquai, and this live performance at JAZZ CAFE in London is much better. Isn't their performance suitable for a space similar to that of a jazz café?

From Jay, Rob, Paul, Derrick, Matt, the ladies and other musicians, all of them are incredible. And this version proves it. JQ is not underrated btw, might be less popular nowadays but they were super super popular in the 90s,00s. Go check the car collection of Jay 😅😂 anyway, Stuart Zender is gone for long, RIP master Toby Smith, a bit different Jamiroquai today, even here on 2006 but they keep all the magic alive. I hope so, and for long time! And a new album should be on time now!!

There's nothing like a live performance of "Canned Heat"! At 3:44 of the video, the women singers start with the chorus: "You know this boogie is for real "Got so much canned heat in my heels, yeah" The joy I feel listening to their singing is heavenly. Then at 4:45, the band starts to break it down with guitar solo. It's a jam that's seldomly done anymore. And at 6:30 the conga drums take the spotlight, for a while. Next; at 6:58, the keyboard takes the beat (and breaks it down). Finally; at 7:58, the entire band puts the emphasis on that chorus with those female singers giving us the gist of what this song is about. Jamiroquai takes us to the end of the song, that I don't want to stop.
