Brother I been making beats since like 2011. I have like 750+ vids. Every video has tips on mels. Like this video A minor natural all the white keys make it easy. Set a chord progression. Add layers. Add a top line. Nothing too crazy. FX. Arrangement. Call and response. A million resources to learn music as well as using your own ears and listening to your fav songs and thinking about why it’s catchy

@@mazziebeatztv4338 I’ve def taken breaks and sometimes life has gotten crazy lately and I’ve lost the fire. But when I’m not making beats lately I lowkey been making some punk rock songs. Was doing other musical stuff playing my guitar a lot. So the motivation to make beats isn’t always there, but the love of music is. So juice WRLD had some new songs drop and that just made me wanna get back on the beats. Plus, I remembered I been doing this so long I’m pretty good so I can’t stop. So I’m tryna get back on the grind rn. If you aren’t motivated. You don’t need to force it. But at the same time if you wanna get better gotta have discipline and practice consistently. Music should be enjoyed tho so if you aren’t enjoying it don’t force it. God bless homie have a great day

We make beats basically the same way. I took drip off because it cracks a lot. Consolidate your instruments and take drip off. It will be in the consolidated sound. Anytime you get latency are cracking.

Well this one I woke up and I took my morning piss and I kinda thought of the top line. So sometimes there’s a little jingle in my head. But usually I just experiment in A minor. Sometimes chords first. Sometimes melody first. Something sort of repeatable, simple , catchy, so put chords under. It’s really repetition and practice. Two videos ago I think was a call and response melody tutorial video. Could be a helpful watch if you’re interested. Hope that helps
