It's more like an open ending but I am still waiting for a version which is truly faithful to the book. Thought the french movie of this year would be it but I was wrong, that was actually the saddest version I have ever seen.

Just saw the first episode and Sam is convincing, but I personally think Jim Caviezel was better. The casting of Mercedes felt a bit off as well, compared to the 2002 movie.
