Thank you . Just got one and it’s dragging and not sliding at all Everyone says - don’t clamp it so tight…? I’m not clamping it at all. But when you said reduce the temp if you had processed hair, highlights ect. That makes sense Appreciate the advice

I detest texturizing. I don't like the layered look nevermind the pseudo-layered look texturing does. And the weird rough ferl of the ends. What i really detest is how often stylists will take the liberty to texturize without first asking.

Stylist literally just did this. I went from full one length that had a slight curl to the ends to wispy uneven curls with no bulk to the ends. Never going back. I'm only two months into transitioning away from heat and discovering my curly hair. So sad now to feel it's a big set back. The frizz was much more under control since I started two months ago.I don't know what's going to happen now 😢
@allabouthairwithdanise
@allabouthairwithdanise 12 күн бұрын
I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's super frustrating. Hang in there. Maybe try using either a shampoo for curly hair (has more moisture) or a smoothing shampoo for frizzy hair (sometimes may be a bit too heavy - it depends on your hair type). Thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe. 🙂

Good question. Just remember the rule of halves. If you thin the hair too close to the scalp, it will stick up. It depends on the length. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. 😊

Thank you for making this video. I was on chemo for a while. Unfortunately, it took a toll on my natural hair. However, I purchased a wig (not a cheap one) and it was too thick which made it look fake. Taking a wig to have styled (cut) is very expensive. I used your technique and it came out fabulous. It now looks like a normal thickness of hair. I appreciate the help!

Can you fix that hard line at all? To least blend it in?
@allabouthairwithdanise
@allabouthairwithdanise 27 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. Good question. Yes, it is possible to blend a hard line . It depends on a couple of factors: how hard of line, how short the hair (so you have more room to work in the blend) and the density of the hair. Start with either your thinning shears or regular shears, and go at an angle. Very carefully. Checking the line after every cut. I think I w make a video on this.

My granddaughter has the thickest hair I have ever seen! She has always had a very tender scalp and it is super easily tangled. When she was small I thinned her hair with this kind of scissors and it worked just fine. Right now its long and all one length and is an every day tangled mess its a huge problem. My question is can I use this technique on her without creating a lot of short pieces throughout? My fear is that the short pieces will tangle with the long hairs making a bigger tangled mess! Please advise 🙏🏻 TIA
@allabouthairwithdanise
@allabouthairwithdanise Ай бұрын
You are correct in your thinking. The shorter strands could possibly make the tangling worse. You did not mention if her hair is curly, wavy or straight, however I advise using a wide-tooth comb while conditioner is on her hair in the shower. And then when she gets out out, DO NOT wind the hair up in a towel or briskly dry with towel. Just blot it dry with the towel, and then comb through again. She might need to spray a detangling spray on her damp hair beforehand. Thanks for watching and good luck! Let me know if it works.

Hi there, I have a weird question, I work in a restaurant and I really want to get my hair totally clean after every shift. However, the hot water does not last very long in my apartment. Can I get my hair clean with just a short hot rinse after a shampoo then lukewarm rinsing? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
@allabouthairwithdanise
@allabouthairwithdanise 2 ай бұрын
Yes of course! You can use cold water, if you want. In fact, it will help close the cuticle, so you will have smoother, shinier hair. The shampoo is the working agent. The water temperature doesn’t change the effect of the shampoo. Thanks for listening! Have an amazing day!😊
