as a Tool & Die Maker, I find wood just too boring to work with. However, seeing the final product, it was very easy to see how to make it before it was shown. I couldn't watch the whole show..

Think we’ve just discovered what roman dodecahedron were. The wooden ball inside of the metal outer has rotted away.

Yeah. There's no magic involved. Good tools, planning, execution... just "doing the work." But today? That's actually pretty rare.... so...

Which version of Maestro do you use? 😅 The version of Maestro I use (it's old 6-7 years, I guess) can't do similar thing. The surfaces on the STEP model from SolidWorks are not recognized as something that Maestro can use in order to take right tilt angle for saw. The model is loaded in Maestro without any problem, but it seems like it's not possible to make machining with surfaces from the loaded model.

The Chinese make balls in balls from ivory, up to 42 pieces, one in another. And all of them are covered with the finest carvings depicting people, animals, and flora. Moreover, all this is done manually.

Is it possible to do thread milling in Maestro software ?
@HiTechEducationOy3 ай бұрын
Hello, Yes it is possible. You only need the thread macro(apps), which should be standard in the program. You find it under menu Generic -> machining -> milling -> Thread
