Phoenix is absolutely the worst, rude people with their insanely loud exhaust noises all throughout the day. Cannot wait to move back to east coast, absolutely horrible place. Auto insurance rate is ridiculous, and yearly auto taxes and taxes close to 8% on everything you buy online or in the store. Just another corrupt state.

I just moved to Cabo San Lucas Mexico in 2022. I wanted to experience a different culture and I wanted to live on the beach and that's not financially realistic in the states. It's truly a very special place and it has some of the most amazing beaches in the world. I lived in Tempe Arizona for most of my life time, 35 years to be exact. Phoenix is amazing I will always love the city it's got everything a human will need except the ocean. I will always call it home.. great content..

Thanks for the great video!! I noticed that school ends at the end of May and resume in early August. How do young kids in elementary and middle school manage the extreme heat throughout Aug and Sept? I imagine most schools have covered areas, but was curious if they have to stay inside. Thanks and have a great week!

Great question! Yes, schools have covered areas or do lots of activities inside and use the gyms when the weather is too warm to ensure the kids don't stay outside in the heat too long ☀️

Honestly most of the cities and areas in and around Phoenix like Buckeye do not have 4 seasons. It's desert and we have our cooler season now for fall and winter but we don't get a lot of fall colors or snow. If you are wanting 4 seasons, check out north Arizona in cities like Prescott or Flagstaff which are gorgeous and get the full 4 seasons! ☀️

Are there double taxes like subdivisions etc? Or like county + city tax?

How much can Arizona property tax rates increase each year? Do they increase every year or just upon assessment (and how often is that)? Is it only retired people who are limited to a 2% tax increase? Are the max tax rates [for the fiscal year?] determined by the Department of Revenue, or the County Assessors? I also saw the acronym NDFA on another video "No Darn Foolin' Around" so does that mean, at 7:56 in the video, the $1,543 would generally be split into two payments in November and February, or would that be the payment due for each date? Thanks for the video :)

Ive been here since i was a kid, and have never enjoyed the desert. I have never been good with the heat, and i cannot agree that Arizona is beautiful. There is not enough pay for the cost of living. And getting heat exhaustion walking to the bus to go home from work was not a fun experience. And working in a place that depends on the snow birds for winter sales o can say that they are out of touch with reality and many of them are rude and entitled. I had to tell one that i dont know what they pay grocery store workers where they live but i cannot afford to leave the state for half the year to get away from the heat, and if i did leave the state to escape the heat i wouldn't return. That really surprised them.

I lived in Mesa for 20 years and I left Arizona a decade ago, the heat was what factor about also, there's really no chance of having decent low income housing, I live in Northern New England now in a really decent apartment and I don't have to worry about anything like crime or dying in the summer Everything for me is in a two block radius, I live in a small town where everything is on one street and it's easily walkable Living in other states has made me realize that I'm a cold weather person, there's no way on my income that I would have any quality of life, in Arizona anywhere I love the high country of Arizona it is awesome, it's great Arizona used to be cheap to live in if you had any kind of middle class income My mother had no more than a high school education, and she was able to have a house brand new made for her in 1998, in southeast Mesa like a mile from the border of Gilbert Brand new home for 78,000 That's never going to happen these days and anybody who doesn't have real decent money, you're better off some where else

I live in Buckeye Arizona, in the Westpark Community. Yes the homes and schools are fairly decent, as far as pricing, and quality are concerned. However, beware of the HOA neighborhoods. HOAs here are making huge money from home owners, and are not offering amenities equal to what home owners are paying. What home owners mostly pay for are the HOA's telling you what you can and can't do, and fining you sometimes without notice, for violations you are not aware of. Also, stores and gas stations charge more than customers are being charged the closer you get towards Phoenix, Goodyear, Glendale, and Avondale. DO your due diligence before you decide to move to Buckeye. One more thing. The cold water here is not cold at all during the summer months. In fact, the cold water can be as hot as the actual hot water. I asked Buckeye water department, and the answer I got was that Buckeye is burying the water lines up to code. That may be the case, but it s still not deep enough to make our cold water....cold. There are options Buckeye has to make thing better here, but the city refuses to do any of them.
