There are 0-frames, aka exact frames where you can hit an input and also get affected by an enemy input at the same time. For example with Tracer it's quite common to get slept at the same time as you blink, so you end up blinking while you're slept. Or recall as you get slept or bashed etc, and it activates the cooldown even tho it didn't get used. It's not actual latency/input delay, it's 0-frames where two inputs from you and enemy can overlap at the same time. Also been a while, checked in again and your improvement and pathing around the maps is great already. Love to see the steady improvement!

hey, watched a bit of the gameplay and wanted to give you a few tips. Tracer is a mechanically demanding character but thats not what makes her difficult, she is one of the hardest champs game sense wise and to carry with her you need alot of experience. Because you lack that positioning knowlege and play a character that so heavily relys on it you do not really do much for your team and just shoot without really getting value out of the character. If you find her fun, get a coach to explain you how to play her but you will take a while before you manage to climb, or if you want to speedrun plat/diamond play characters like cree, widow, soldier, soujern. those characters are much more straigh foward and greatly scale with mechanical skill while requiring much less gamesense. Furthermore tracer aim is very focused around your movement rather than your tracking, and dashing in ways to make opponents movement predictable to track instead of just aiming which is why your aim training while playing her does not help as much as it would on other characters. Not trying to be mean or demotivate you, your aim when playing support was really good,and I am sure on other dps you would easily climb to plat but on tracer I would even go as far as saying you current skill migh be around hight silver not gold. After all its about fun so if you enjoy tracer onetrick her even if you derank but I would greatly recommend getting a coach. I might be able to coach you a little as a masters 1 dps (genji/hanzo/widow main) but Any masters/gm tracer main would do a better job than me.
@joshcarlson65752 ай бұрын
If you wanna climb you need coaching, you are doing alot of bad habits. Your aim will not carry you much higher, you need to work on postioning, gamesense, and your uptime.

it's so interesting seeing someone with "good" aim in overwatch because there's so many unique movements and physics that you kind of pick up on the game over time that a less experienced player would have a more difficult time in. I think this is an example of that

Hey, I'm gonna leave this comment as a starter (I'll reply to myself) I'll give any pointers I can think of as a player whose been playing since season 3 of OW1. I'll watch through a bunch and try to narrow it down to only one or things per game you do consistently that you shouldn't, or perhaps don't do that you ought to!
@josephdavis34722 ай бұрын
The only things I'll mention that wasn't mentioned in live coaching is, on maps where 2 flanks are available you take the left flank like 85~90% of the time, which can get predictable around master, which is where I think you will be in a short time... so worth keeping in mind! The other/last thing is, you need to be cognizant of how many people turn to deal with you, and use that as a gauge of when to leave, as you overstay your welcome in some fights (particularly in the games before the live coaching)
@RoseGoldKR2 ай бұрын
@@josephdavis3472I smurf in masters a lot, I can almost guarantee you the players there are not going to be focussed on what direction you often choose to flank. They’ll either be not thinking at all, or thinking what positions would be best to defend. Individual enemy player analysis and making predictions based on that isn’t something you’ll encounter until you either play mid/high top 500, or scrim like 4.5k level.

Loving the Overwatch arc bro. Fyi PB comes from tracer’s right side so position enemies slightly to your right when you’re close. Also learn blink melee and you can also use the skill to blink pulse which is very reliable once practiced

Well done! I've been playing overwatch for years and it still bums me that it's so hard to understand what to do for new players. It feels like it shouldn't take pro tier coaching to climb in metal ranks and makes me think it's the games fault for this

I think the biggest thing is taking the time to be proactive about asking yourself what you could be doing better, be genuinely curious to why you lost, and pick apart your gameplay in VOD reviews to see how you could improve. I think doing this on your own is very possible!

Congrats on reaching plat brother. To do that in one month from silver is an impressive feat. I would highly recommend learning and getting comfortable with 1-2 other heroes in the future though, preferably ones that are drastically different to eachother. Trust me, as a one trick myself, sticking to a specific hero will eventually lead to games that feel downright impossible due to the map choice and/or composition of the enemy team working against you. Of course, i'm never gonna do such a silly thing as swapping heroes myself, i play overwatch to play the one hero i like. But i'm sure it'll save you some headaches to have options in the future.

@blackmagekongs25882 ай бұрын
You describing ow2 like a chess game is spot on, because it really becomes a strategy game and even a mind game against your opponents once you and the enemy team have mastered your hero's mechanics. If the enemy players are as equally as good as you then it all comes down to outsmarting each other.
@jingping59482 ай бұрын
This reminds me of when I was new and learning the game. I joined a team with my brother, neither of us having played before, and I was the lowest ranked player on the team (only one with 0 experience). I spent thousands of hours playing, studying (especially on YT), and losing Overwatch. I first placed 1600 SR which is low silver but I've since climbed as high as GM 2 in SS6 OW2. As you said the joy of reaching a goal or peak is short lived though. I find the real fun is learning the game and seeing the improvement, the peaks just being bonuses.
