Every time I watch this, I can't help but break out into tears, over and over. Such amazing people and I feel so fortunate to have been able to live during the RUSH era, from Jr. High School to today (for almost 50 years) .. RUSH has been such an instrumental part of my life. This song, along with the only two other instrumental songs (To Live Is To Die and The Call Of Ktulu) were all composed/arranged by their late bassist, Cliff Burton... who tragically passed away in a bus accident while they were on tour just 1 year after this album was released. His musical genius had barely even been tapped, it is one of the biggest tragedies in music... despite being so young he was - and still is - considered one of the greatest bass guitarists to ever live. Flea from Red Jot Chili Peppers gave the speech when Metallica was inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, and what he said about Cliff... well, watch it and see James' reaction to Flea's remarks. Year Zero is not so much of a personal album by Trent. It is kind of the soundtrack to a dystopian story about the USA becoming a totalitarian regime. Every song lets us see from the view of a person living in that scenario. Soldiers, normal citizens, authorities, resistence fighters and even an alien species that is watching us humans and is considering to wipe us out. Great concept and a great album.
