Beautiful - he was in good form before his serious illness, near death 2 months later. He sounds wonderful here.

So beautifully written and clever too; first it's about Anselmo's mother telling her son "take my loved you have been loved she said" then later, it is Anselmo telling George that George was loved. After George died, Anselmo's mother said he used to still visit her in Brazil and she felt he considered her his mother in law 💔She said she believed that had Anselmo lived, he and George would have remained together. I've heard this song live a number of times, this version seems more poignant than some others.

This song hurts now - not just John & Elvis are dead but now so is beautiful George 💔My impression is that he hated those things he had to have in his ears to get the vocals, etc just right - in early years, those didn't exist but in the later two tours (25 Live and this one) he is constantly needing to adjust it - felt badly for him because he was so sensitive to how he wanted to perform and this seemed to bug him - understandably.

George said in a few interviews that if people wanted to know him, just listen to his songs because they are all autobiographical but he was not only an otherworldly songwriter and vocalist, he is one of the very few that when they sing, you feel the emotions. There are some technically great vocalists but I never feel anything and with George, I feel something each time I listen to them - always. It is like a special layer of humanity that he had that infused his creative gift, making his music relatable in ways even other very good songs are just nice to listen to vs relate to in memory, experience, whatever. My favorite tune of his is "The Strangest Thing" - it is pretty dark but gorgeous musically and vocally even as it brings me to tears each and every time.

How on earth are people talking through this song, of all songs - the darkest of his songs ever and so poignant about depression. Interesting song to open with but it is such a moving a song. ❤

Oh, his killer smile - always got to me. Gotta admit I'm intrigued by his shoes - silly I know, but they look like they wouldn't be comfy - I hope they were and maybe he needed these then to be on his feet so long during the shows. He was adorable when he forget the lyrics - 😊Gosh, I miss him so much. Wonder why he literally ran off stage - how sweet of him to take off his glasses at the end

miss you my mate, thank you for keeping me alive with your music since the 80s, and a massive thank you to ANDREW RIDGELEY, otherwise we would not have had a GEORGE MICHAEL xx
@LeeThrough11 сағат бұрын
Of course we would have had a George Michael - that myth is just so silly. He might have gotten there in a different way but he was writing songs at the age of 7 years old with his good friend David Austin who is the one friend who worked with him throughout his entire life and career writing some music with him (they met when babies) and David is the one who produced his Live in London album as well as his documentary Freedom 90 finishing it after George died. It's just bizarre that some people actually believe that without Andrew George wouldn't have become a songwriter/vocalist. It's a nice myth but that is all it is.
