I’ve figured out the starting dinner after breakfast myself after a few months of struggling (still struggling, but less) At the first baby nap, I just setup myself to meal prep as much as I can and even cook if I have enough time (I don’t know if baby’s going to sleep for 30 minutes or 2 hours…soo…) But at least I can decently meal prep in 30 minutes so that’s my goal for baby 1st nap. We have 2 naps currently… I have a hard time accepting my house will always be somewhat messy and unfinished, but we’re getting there… I also struggle with: how much time do I give baby attention and how much time can I make chores during wake time? I mostly spend time with baby unless something urgent. I only have one baby…I don’t know how you’re doing it with 5! Amazing! Also, I can’t work while having my baby strapped on me..tried that once, my shoulders hurt because my baby is 95 percentile..lol

Found eve in exile unbelievably helpful in seeing what I had unwittingly swallowed for years. Listened to some others of these, I have side by side on my shelf, thanks I appreciate the nudge to try and get to it!! Thanks for an amazing list this is so helpful. Love from London x

Hi! I've just found your channel. I am an autistic mom of 3 children 9 (also autistic), 4 and 17mo. I used to struggle so, so much with energy. My toddler is a really bad sleeper and my last 2 pregnancies took it out of me. I transitioned to a carnivore diet 6 months ago, and honestly I would not be able to do what I do every day with so little sleep if I was eating grains and veg like I was... (PS: I never wear shoes 😂 not even when I go out anywhere. Farmgirl here lol). The dinner after breakfast thing is a game-changer for me! We have farm chores in the evening and when those are done I'm out of energy to cook! If I get dinner going early, I feel so much better and more relaxed in the evenings.

Commenting on my husband’s account but I just had to say thank you. I didn’t know your channel. I didn’t expect to cry but thank you so much for sharing what was on your heart. I’m working so hard to care for my new baby and my husband who had back surgery with complications within the same year. May God be my strength when I am weak so I can keep caring for my family. ❤

I’m pregnant with #7 and I can attest to “suffering well”. This life isn’t heaven yet so we are meant to go through challenges etc. but I wouldn’t trade my kiddos for anything.

Also I have to say that cosleeping is very natural. This world has gone too far off the deep end from what should be normal.

Been feeling conflicted about moving away from smart phones too. We don’t live close to family so being able to FaceTime and talk or use my phone to take pictures and videos of my kids has been the main thing keeping me on it honestly. I also have been struggling in this new season of life with yelling… just feeling overwhelmed when my 2.5 year old does something she KNOWS she shouldn’t do and laughs about it just really hits a nerve with my anger and causes me to raise my voice…. Really need to work on that and pray about it. Appreciate your honesty it’s very refreshing 🙏🏼❤️
@layne751Күн бұрын
I truly can’t thank you enough for being honest about “working on yelling”. That you haven’t already fully arrived and it’s a process. My mom never once raised her voice at me and I find myself regularly triggered and raising my voice and it has been so hard for me. It is so encouraging to know I’m not alone and being vulnerable about that is truly so, so helpful
@shb8212Күн бұрын
That's incredible!! Also so interesting because we're told so much that the reason we are "triggered" is because of learned behaviors from childhood and childhood trauma. How did your mom do it?? Please tell me!

I am astonished that co-sleeping is a taboo. In Africa it is a MUST!! Lol I am from there
@myahgormley978815 сағат бұрын
Right??? I'm here in Canada and it's taboo here and I've even been told off for it. I just think, what does everyone else do around the world, and what have they done for thousands of years!?!?

I’ve realized a lot of the anti co-sleeping stuff is due to liability because it is different if you aren’t breastfeeding and things like smoking and alcohol can affect bodily awareness in bed. I’m such a rule follower, so making the cosleeping decision for myself required me parsing out the details.

My daughter is almost 2 months and I'm so thankful you talk about giving yourself permission to lean into your intuition. I struggled with this so much for the first month. Definitely was insecure about "going against the grain" with some of my parenting choices, but now I'm finding confidence in doing what I believe is best for her. Thank you for this conversation and safe place to be the mom I want to be! 💚

I started getting dinner on the table about 30 minutes earlier so there is still enough daylight to do a short walk after dinner. (I live in a tropical climate so it’s too hot after school or before dinner). My daughter now insists on an after dinner walk and I’ve noted she’s actually calmer before bed and sleeping better. I think this will also build my energy up so I don’t feel like the bedtime routine crashes into 9pm so I still have a minute to myself before I put myself to bed 😊

Question? How do you feed the honey garlic to an 20 month old that is super picky with any food item but eats crayons and licks any non-food item he can get his hands on? 😅
@abigailpayne253714 сағат бұрын
Lol, my toddlers are the same way! I've had good luck getting my toddlers to consume all kinds of very strong tasting health foods and medicines by sneaking them into fruit smoothies (especially if they get to help make it). I've heard of sneaking things into sweetened yogurt too, but I haven't tried that one. Good luck, mama!!!

Just drink more water, especially after waking. Water already contains minerals unless you're purifying it, so electrolytes aren't going to make a huge difference. It is useful if you're at risk of dehydration with water (e.g. weather, vigorous exercise).
