Harry, hitting rock bottom, spring '72, only 1 Ad for Acting work, in past 18 mos, his electric to be shut off, & when finished up Al & Cherie's home in Santa Monica, he'd be unemployed! Down & out, not in Beverly Hills, Harry befriended me, Cherie's Cousin, "Billy from Michigan", sanding half of job for him, so could get some cash in his program, taking just 2 - 12 hr days to ready for finish! Cherie, Al, & me jumped in VW Van for wk long CA Tour! Upon return, home was most beautimus. Harry had outdone himself, so I flew to FotoMat & back, as Al and Cherie prepped home for Photo Shoot. I nailed 12 shots w/the Rollie, sped to Fotomat & back for Processing & Enlargements, back about minute before Harry rang the doorbell! He had Wife's little 35mm hangin' from strap around neck, tilted lens up, asking Cherie for permission to take photos for his Acting Portfolio. She just handed Harry the FotoMat Packet, & out to Panel he went, checkin' out his "Present". 5 min later, he reappeared to ask Al for new Acting Portfolio Photos, as knew old ones were holdin' him back. Al gave 'em a, "No can do", as didn't take 'em, so Harry being smart guy & all, schmoozed up to Cousin Cherie, but she told him didn't take 'em either, + they'd have to be taken by expert anyways. Undeterred, Harry bored in for source of photos, so Cherie said, had to get Billy to take 'em! So Harry, being expert sleuth & all, asked for 10-20 of this Billy? Cherie replied, "Billy...you know, the kid that's been helpin' ya...Billy from Michigan? Harry replied, "S__T, and he's back in Michigan I suppose?" Cherie replied, "Why he's right around the corner from ya, keepin' Elvira company, waitin' for what you'd say!!" He be comin' round the corner, so Harry asked me for cost estimate for Photo Shoot, to update his Acting Portfolio. He was teed up nice & high for me, so gave 'em full treatment, squintin' at him thru squared up fingers, sighin', makin' notes on my tablet, finally mumbling numbers, coming up with, "Twenty Eight Fifty, Harry, I'll do it for Twenty Eight Fifty!" Well that's all I know for Ole Harry's trip from bottom to the top. Actually, a shame, as right frickin' now have Personal Story that nearly cost me my life, w/down & trodden State Hwy Worker, spotting Jetliner about to crash w/all hands, but Hairy Captain barely saved, 155/155 a Gallant Effort, but destroyed Company's Jetliner while do'in it!!
