HELP PLZ I'm trying to make squares exactly how she tells us but my square isn't turning like a square. It's more like a trapezium 😬😭 idk what I'm doing wrong Edit: so i figured out what i was doing wrong. just in case any of you make the same mistakes as me unknowingly, you can fix your problem. I did 32 chains to have 15 cm square, i skipped 2 chains to start the 2nd row, as i skipped 2nd row i had 30 stiches, i made a turning chain amd i made sure the turning chain was extra tight. If you dont make turning chain extra tight later on you may make an extra stich on that turning chain which is why instead of getting sqaure you may get trapezium just like me. Now that i make the turning chain extra tight and after that i make hdc on the next chain i mark that hdc using stich marker so that i dont get confused later. I hope this made sense 😅

Did you make the same chain and rows as Ms Halim? you might want to count the number of stitches you make in beginning and the end of row to make sure you make an even size. The shape of the square also can be different depending how you stretch it. I hope this helps you

@adrianiaida6295 hi. I made 32 chains and as i skipped 1st 2 chains to start hdc i got 30 chains from 2nd row. Still the shape of the square actually didn't end up like square. So now I'm following a different method i found on yt to make the square. And thank you for replying. Can you please tell me how many chains you did?

Do you mean the turning chain? No it doesn't matter. Once you sow everything, it wouldn't even be noticeable.

in her og (part 1) video she got 17 across, but depending on your yarn you will get different sized squares, try measuring your chain (making sure you have 15 cm) and do hdc across until you get 15 cm long rows (up and down) hope this helps!
