In the event that you open a company and you perform work as an unpaid employee, keeping all the income within the company, do you need RWOPS. Or do you only need it when you intend to draw a salary. Doesn’t paying yourself a dividend instead of a salary also get around this?

Thanks for this. Recently had an issue with BASA on this and I think the law needs to be re-written, clarified and get with the times we live in. They even said we can't use sponsored ads on FB because it will rank you above another therapist?!

Great question. I actually no longer use clickup. I now use smartsuite. It's not a tool for everyone, but I do plan to make some videos on how I use it in my own practice with some free template setups you can use as well. For now I'd say keep it simple. Focus on getting your systems to work well then think about tools to help level up afterwards

Currently at this point in my practice. I experienced my first hire of a locum and it was not the experience I expected. Also, it is difficult to compete with other bigger practices. How do we negotiate a rate? I asked the potential employee to visit the practice for orientation and she asked if she will be getting paid for the day! I was caught off guard. In addition, I gave a specific role but she had a condition that she did not disclose which meant that she could not fulfill the role.

Thank you for this video. I'm giving it a try! It was also a great refresher of the GTD method since it's been awhile since I read the book. The only thing that bugs me is that the google task duration cannot be edited. Everything just shows as 30 mins, even though my tasks are longer! Anyway, maybe I'll just block out the extra chunk manually to show a proper duration. Awesome job!

Hi Tasneem...I think I'm a bit confused...is the advice to start as a sole prop then move to an Inc? If I have registered as PTY and haven't started trading yet, are there any tax implications when I decide to deregister?

Hi there. It depends on your vision and goals for your practice. If you plan to start and grow slowly and keep the practice small, then yes it makes more sense to start as a sole prop. On the other hand if your goal is to grow a large high revenue generating practice, and you have the resources to scale quickly then it makes more sense to start as an Inc right off the bat. If you already registered as a Pty in error and haven't started trading yet, its a simple process to convert to an inc. if you contact a company like Company Partners they can assist you. Don't deregister if you plan to register down the line anyway. There shouldn't be any tax implications to deregister if you haven't started trading yet, but I'm not a tax practitioner. Always seek guidance from a registered tax practitioner of you are unsure.

This system is great as a small solopreneur to manage your personal tasks. It's not really suitable for a workflow and business management system though. For my own practice I tried all types like Asana, Trello, clickup, and have finally landed on SmartSuite. I will be making some tutorials in SS in 2024 showing behind the scenes how I use it, how you can use it with a team and how to use it to link tasks to your overall strategy. So do look out for that 😁

Good day I reali love your video, but my daughter has been graduate before covid. The next year she try to apply but the people there said that she must pay more money because she is a higieniss but she is and study for dental assistant. She forward here papers to them but they take so forever to help her out. My problem is the she had not work since before covid till now. Please help me out
