do you have to be a caravan and motorhome member to stay at these campsites?
@a_weekend_with_us9 күн бұрын
Hi there, it varies from campsite to campsite but I think quite a few are open to non-members (at a higher price), including this one. The details for each campsite on the CAMC website set out whether they're open to non-members if you have particular sites in mind.

I found the electrical connections awkward. Once the cable was released from the clip there was enough slack to withdraw the pump to get at the filter in situ. Had vehicle from new and serviced it at 20,000 miles. Filter was clean. Could have done with about 10cm of length in the cable to make job easier. Had to jack up on stands to make getting underneath easier. Good instructional video. Thanks for sharing. Regards Stephen

When you return you need to visit the Swannery at Abbotsbury, West Bay, and Lyme Regis.

Thanks! I went to Lyme Regis a couple of times as a child (including once during a storm, which I think about every time I see storm footage on the news) and really enjoyed it, so definitely somewhere I'd like to go back to. Thanks for the other tips :)

HI! Nice video,, and how do you get to the city center from the airport?
@a_weekend_with_usАй бұрын
Thanks! I took the local bus - the number 42 stopped close to my hotel but there are a couple of others that go to the centre too. There's also an airport bus which costs more. There's a bit about the bus journey in the video about my travel day - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmqwkn-mjpmFkNE Hope that helps!

There's a lot of daylight in your video, as Tromso has Polar Night till January 15, I am guessing you visited during January second half....?
@a_weekend_with_usАй бұрын
Yes, from memory I think I was there from 22-26 January. There was daylight but I didn't quite see the sun because of the mountains round the city.

thank you for sharing? Is there a microwave somewhere inside the hotel for us to use? I didn't see one in your room.
@a_weekend_with_us2 ай бұрын
Hi, I don't think there is one in the hotel but it may be worth checking with them direct. There is a restaurant/bar/coffee shop but I didn't see anywhere to heat up your own food. It's also directly over the road from the airport terminal so may be worth checking if there are any facilities in there?

Love this videos. As an audience that enjoys this kind of content i'll suggest to show some prices? Im taking my family next winter to Tromso and it would be really helpful to know how much is for breakfast, supper or dinner. Really nice video!
@a_weekend_with_us3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment and yes, that's a good idea and I'll try to do that in future. My breakfast was included in the hotel room rate. Dinner I probably paid around £30 for a main course and non-alcoholic drink (although everywhere seems to bring you free tap water so you don't necessarily have to buy a drink). I would budget maybe £10-15 for a lunch depending on what you want - but you could get cheaper if you bought it from a supermarket or bakery I expect. Not sure if £ is helpful for you but should be easy enough to convert to different currencies 👍 Enjoy your visit!

I’m going to tromso in early Jan 25, when in Jan were you there? Was it dark much of the day? Great film, by the way
@a_weekend_with_us3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I was there 22-26 Jan. I thought there was more daylight generally than I was expecting. It was probably light from maybe 9ish in the morning to 2.30/3pm. So you will probably be there in the Polar Night and it'll be darker, although you'll still get some daylight but just won't see the sun. Hope you have a great trip, I really loved it there and hope you will too 😊

I once worked there on a water pump project a mile or so from the nuclear plant where I was setting up some noise monitoring equipment. I found it a rather unique area and I also liked the bleakness. From such as empty area, there is lots of wildlife and it is a protected area. I didn't enjoy the 9 hour drive home to Lancashire!

We only live 12 miles away and Maryport and the Harbour Cafe, which is very dog friendly, are regular haunts for us and our dog. Cumbrian people are very friendly and I'm you enjoyed it. There's a beautiful coastline in Cumbria which sadly gets ignored in favour of the Lake District but if you want peace and quiet and unspoilt beaches then head to the coast.😊

Hello, thank you for your video. I will be in Tromso next December. Do you have an agency to recommend to me for booking my excursions? Thanks
@a_weekend_with_us5 ай бұрын
Hi, I booked my Aurora Safari through Best Arctic (bestarctic.com) and my boat trip through Visit Tromsø (visittromso.no) and I would recommend them both - no hassle, good communication etc. Visit Tromsø also has lots of information about activities and trips. For the museums and cable car, I just bought tickets on arrival (you can buy them through Visit Tromsø as well but I don't think there would be any advantage in doing so). Have a great trip!
