If you think about it, emotions are a requisite for virtue. Without fear, there is no courage. Without sadness or grief, there's no love or compassion. None of the virtues are themselves emotions, but God, in His mercy, has made it such that we need to FEEL like He does in order to ACT in accord with virtue. Golly if she thinks this is the craziest part about Christianity, then how does that make everybody feel who does other crazy stuff that’s part of Christianity. Like spiritual discernment. I’d say that’s pretty weird then, being able to differentiate between truth and error. Taking absolutely ridiculous risks that other people would just absolutely not understand? I mean, what does she think prayer is? I appreciate her reverence and her deep relationship to prayer, but I do kind of think she’s coming at it from this negative angle. Prayer is a blessing. There’s never a time when I feel absolutely the most centered and truly myself, as when I’m talking to Jesus. Yeah I might feel weird for about two seconds but it’s prayer.prayer is an incredible blessing. No, I do not look at prayer in this kind of way. She’s being negative about it.

When Jesus walked the earth, society struggled with His divinity. Nowadays, society struggles with His humanity. I think Jonathan Roumie was clearly chosen by God to underscore this important aspect and bring balance back to the scales.

I love the show. Because of its emotion and I think anyone who is on a serious spiritual journey - Christian or not- can identify with the role of Jesus and the dynamics of his disciples, and the rest of the world that reacts to him. We all learn. I always loved Jesus naturally, and I enjoy seeing him portrayed as a deep human being of divine origin. Something we all are if we only look close enough! I don’t even know if the show intends it or not but to me it’s really going beyond a dogmatic religious angle, it managed to capture a genuine sentiment we all have! Imagine that Jesus came today, would we recognize him? What would he say about what we think God is… and what would he do?

I have a feeling that the "Chosen" was in God's plan to be a support/ conversion aid for us at this time in history, and to take this long for it's production , to help us when the world and the church are in such confusion of right vs wrong in moral values, in leadership, on the verge of war and in right vs wrong, good vs evil. It gives us time to experience what Jesus was trying to teach us. Lessons we need to hear over and over again. I thank God for speaking to my heart and soul in a way that is real and tangible.

Noticed majority of comments are from women. Doesn't surprise me. Women are the weaker vessels because they are led and ruled by their emotions. The Church has been infiltrated by feminism and emotionalism. The Chosen is packed with dubious interpretations of the times of Christ. All designed to invoke an emotional response. It's a shame, they had such an awesome platform to present the Truth.

In 1968 Jesus showed me what it was like to experience the fullness of God, He said we can have as we grow up in Christ. It’s like this - Jesus is more in me than me. I saw it recently in a friend of mine and I see it in Jonathan. We are the light of the world how else are they going to be drawn to Jesus? Everyone keep praying for The Chosen project and all of the people involved in it!!! Ephesians 3:19 - and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

This book is clearly written through such Godly Wisdom and knowledge, and i thank you so much that you are so open amd honest about your journey! Reading your testimony shows me that what God has taught you is proven and true, and that it is absolutely possible for me to get out of the downward spiral through God's Promises and Truth! And you made me feel so much better about seeking therapy and medication to help with my severe anxiety and OCD. Praise God!
