My hot take; In terms of Innova's recent plastic blends from the past two years, they overall have the best premium plastics in the game at the moment. Their newer, glossy blends of Champ, Star and Halo have above average grip, are just as durable as any competitor and they actually allow their molds to fly more like their flight numbers.

Genuinely surprised clash and kastaplast aren’t on here…

Fission is incredible. A max weight fission disc is god tier. They season BEAUTIFULLY. Great grip. Great glide. A 175 Fission wave is what all ams want a Wraith to be. Fission craves: godly. Fission Tesla??? Might be the best mold/plastic combo out there.

lol he hasn't thrown the by far best plastic - fission, WTF is that rating lol

Had they started off with that, I'd have tuned out right then. Instead I made it to minute 57 before hitting back.

Also, y’all are dummies and plastic feel is absolutely THE most important cause who would even buy or touch plastic that suuuuuucks. Do it again with other brands, better brands 😏👍

A little disappointed not to see you guys mention the best plastic in the game (k1 soft), other than that I mostly agreed with the ratings in the video. I mostly throw champion so I do wish it was up in A but other than that this is lovely.

I knew flight numbers were a lie the minute i threw a zone and a luna. Im supposed to believe those 2 discs are only separated by one speed and all else is equal, but if i throw a luna flat it's turning right and i could throw the zone on a roller angle and it would still end up going left lol
@derpderpin1568Ай бұрын
Nope. Flight numbers are designed for an arm speed higher than amateurs throw so every 800 rated youtuber reviewing discs is underthrowing then blaming the flight numbers because they're not capable. Some discs can occasionally be given wrong flight numbers for sure but the majority aren't. Flight numbers don't matter people are the dumbest subgroup of disc golfers up there with the losers that bitch about foot faults constantly.

Let's just say this. The way it feels in the hand is all in your head. Now, if you have problems with your head game then you will have problems with some discs. So you will never throw some of the Best discs out there, and you will never reach your potential.

I wish we could have had a sajko and jmilly pod, Ben feels like an excellent host for a slightly different format or podcast. He shines in the spotlight but it feels sometimes like he's taking away from the two reasons I primarily want to watch this podcast (I was independently following jmilly and sajko before this started). Regardless, this has been my favorite episode of the podcast so far and I'm looking forward to the future of the pod :D

so you're saying you'd rather have form reviews from a pro disc golfer? or you wish there were reviews on the coaches to see if they actually knew what they were talking about? we might have an app for you... ;)

So I quit my job many years ago and hit the road to work at different State Parks throughout the country in my pursuit of finding mountain bike trails to maintain, and ride on my lunch breaks. My current park is in Wisconsin and has both MTB trails and a disc golf course in it. The parking lot is usually split, discers on one side and the bikers on the other. The bikers all looked miserable and not conversing, frowning and despondent. The discers were having a hoot, the complete opposite. Throughout the summer I would notice how the two different groups displayed emotion while engaging in their activity of choice. Frowns were littered across the singletrack while there was nothing but laughter emitting from the disc track. Then it happened. I witnessed my first disc golf tournament. I was a competitive golfer in my youth and was instantly enthralled with the professionals with the jerseys, zukas, whale sacs, Terrex, so on and so forth. Something clicked in me. Mind you I had been beating back the bramble bushes all summer with my Deere and had been accumulating a rather hefty stack of discs collecting dust in the shop, the no name no number kind. I took them out after work one day and stepped up to the tee. I played ultimate frisbee for many years in HS/College so I knew the craft, the beauty of flight. I wasn't afraid. I knew my goal. So I X stepped with grace and sent that Nuke SS 100 ft and over the road. 6 throws later and those chains were ding donging and I have been learning since that faithful day September 2023. Eventually I found YT creators like Jesse and the Foundation boys and all that lead me to JMilly himself. The quality of his videos was inspiring. The only video production I have ever done was hook two VCRs together to edit skateboard videos at the folks. I had a gopro from filming MTB and decided to try it while I tossed the Friz. I started making videos a month or so ago and have really enjoyed this journey that has lead me to Disc Golf. I appreciate that you guys talk about the content side, not just the professional side. Thank you gentlemen and good day!

Love the podcast, been playing disc golf for a month or maybe 2 now and I love hearing about pro tournaments and stuff since even though I don’t keep up with it. Plus you guys give a lot of tips about content creating which I’ve been thinking about for a while. I’m in the army and I leave for 8 months soon which is exciting but also sucks because now I wanna start making videos, but I don’t want to leave for 8 months right after starting my channel. Either way, I’ll keep listening for sure, can’t wait for the next one🫶
