Gems + Priority Order = DMG: Desperado > Meteor Stream > Equilibrium > Quickshot > Grenade > Deathfire > Cruel Tracker CDR: Desperado > Meteor Stream > Equilibrium > Quickshot Whatever my gems are in this video have changed to the above if they don't line up.

The card sets do indeed help, but shouldn't be THAT significant since it's just a difference of a small %. Which card set did you use? Happy to help you min/max as well maybe there are other things that could help you push phases.

I use the Standard (idk the name now) give me 12% more damage my stats and the rest Are fine maybe IM just bad at the game 😅 But you got 14% more damage and do dark damage I think its a big factor for your Overall damage. You Need 4 min for the boss i did it in 7+ minutes 🫢

Is Spec+Swift on bracelet just a comfort move? I've been looking at KR deadeyes and other guides show full Spec+Crit is the build, but see alot of people using swift on bracelet instead of crit.

Great question, so there's some complexity around the choices based on engravings and the quality of your Crit neck. But I personally have 95% crit self buffed without Crit stat on my bracelet cause I run Precise 4% on it. You technically could run higher, but I want a little swift to help (what little it does) with skill desync and smoothing out the spells more. In T4, with higher CDR gems and Mass Increase plus Cursed Doll being changed to Additional DMG. It will likely be meta to do spec/swift neck (to remove mass increase sluggishness) and spec/Crit bracelet with precise to make up for loss of crit on the neck. That's what I'll be looking to test when we get T4 anyway . But with a Pistoleer of you aren't critting you aren't doing any DMG. So you try to cover your ass if you don't get another Crit syn in your party since you are the Crit syn.

Are you using the lvl 5 tripod in the first row for attack speed? You should only do the push immunity one in that line if you're worried about gravity death (like on Thaemine G3). Then legendary Galewind as well. Then if you're running Mass Increase (which I wouldn't recommend) it can make it incredibly sluggish regardless of those two changes.

@@RainColathat'll definitely help, but mass increase makes the kit feel so much more sluggish overall. Like Meteor Stream and Cruel Tracker feel bad too. It's why I don't recommend it over Cursed Doll. You should swap it with the engraving support so you can exp the diff. To me, Pistoleer is all about smooth and satisfying gameplay. So min/maxin 1% for sluggishness doesn't make sense. That may change with T4 though so we'll see.

@@RainCola The downside of Raid Captain is that you face Spiral and Spacebar De-sync during your rotation. So you have to be really conscious of it. The extra CDR with T4 gems may actually make it easier to manage so I'll definitely be testing it out cause it's technically more damage. Then you can also swap Grenade in for Deathfire when running Spiral, which is pretty chill.

If you're on NAE, I'm looking to recruit fresh faces for a T4 prog static group that'll raid Friday and Saturday nights starting around 8pmEST beginning on T4 patch launch day in Sept. I'd like to get something consistent put together for that entire month. We're looking for people with all lvl 7 transcendence, all advanced 10's on gear 20 on weapon, and a growth mindset towards themselves and other people. I did some more tinkering with things. Turns out AT02 Grenade actually does more damage over a 2 min period than Deathfire with the same skill points (12) and DMG Gem level. Deathfire = 9.6 Total DMG to AT02's 10.3%. I was using an extra CDR gem instead thinking more uptime meant more total damage with Cruel Tracker. But I was able to consistently do 28.3 - 28.7 million dps with that one change and my initial standard build I was running in this vod. Then instead of the Chain Throw tripod in Deathfire for more burst damage you can do a lvl 5 Flame Bomb tripod for more total damage. DMG Gems 7m = Desperado > Meteor Stream > Equilibrium > Quick Shot > AT02 Grenade > Cruel Tracker > Deathfire CDR Gems = Desperado > Meteor Stream > Equilibrium > Quickshot / Grenade Also, if counters are important and you want the lvl 4 tripod in Enforced Execution for easier counter then pull it out of Deathfire instead of Grenade. Then if you are running Raid Captain build with Spiral you can consider substituting Grenade in for Deathfire when you don't want to use the Push Immunity on Deathfire. This also gives you 100% uptime on your Crit Syn since you'd have both Spiral and Grenade adding the Crit Syn to the boss. In T4 I'm also noticing people doing the Cursed Doll + Mass Increase stack then try to makeup for the attack speed sluggishness with Galewinds in Cruel Tracker and Equilibrium instead. Then with the extra CDR gems give this helps makeup for the loss of having Quick Recharges and Conviction/Judgment. I'm assuming I won't like the way it feels to do that, as I'm more focused on gameplay feel vs. min/maxing a burst rotation. But just sharing the info as I come across it. when I used to play pistoleer i also tinkered a lot with the build to see just how much dmg u could squeeze out with the setup, and even with these improvements I still believe you can make some other changes to squeeze out even more. Most notably being swapping cruel tracker for deathfire, and changing the meteor stream 3rd row tripod to bombardment, which awards an extra 20% dmg over the other tripod (at the cost of a slower animation). Also an interesting thing to consider with pistoleer is the idea that all skills in the game with 2 charges operate as follows: so long as you use the first charge, you can't actually lower that cooldown anymore by using the second charge. I say this because I notice that you are using the 2nd charge of Desperado sometimes while you have other skills already off cooldown waiting to be used, and playing like this actually lowers your overall dps. Highly recommend using the second charge of desperado only when you don't have any other buttons to press. So there is definitely a considerable amount more damage left on the table if you want it. Hope this helps.

Usually I try to use the 2nd Desperado charge within the Judgment window, but I didn't think about the 1st one not starting it's CD until that one finishes. I'll try to implement holding off on that for moments of desync. The Bombardment Support is definitely something I keep coming back to considering. I believe it also helps with spacebar desync since it's a multi-hit as well. Then it may also be more Stagger. Just the slow animation is risky since it locks you in place for a longer period for end game stuff. In a real raid scenario how many of these do you have to cancel out of or miss cause the boss moves vs. the other. Since I run the bible I'll try to test this in next weeks raid nights on him and compare it to this weeks.

Got my first Echidna HM Gate 2 clear part way into the night (see chapters), I didn't play super great -- as I'm still trying to get comfortable with normal patterns, then all normal to hard differences were my first time seeing them after mirror counters. Once I get more comfortable I feel like I could pull off mid to high 30's for dps. Watching and learning from my mistakes is a good way to learn the fight and because Joe did an amazing job calling out mechs as they happened. We did Gate 1 HM Echidna first -- jumped out cause we couldn't form a Gate 2 party (people are just doing HM 1 and NM 2 until nerfs I think), some Ivory HM's, and maybe another legion before. Then ended the night hanging out with the Rez guys on their discord and doing hw raids with them...Thaemine NM, Ivory NM, Akkan NM. 2nd gate- Because yours didnt show the wipe mechanic (pizza at the end I was so confused wtf I was doing XD) It did not seem obvious at all thats what was going on just by playing the raid itself so much is happening on the ground during his pizza attack :D got past it eventually tho, your guides beyond helpful.. even if you do get past mechs so i cant see I just look up maxroll that have the guides written so I can read it

Indeed, there's a part right after gate2 is over where I mention that mech and how you just focus on the rotation of the star above his head. Clockwise or counter clock wise (Timestamp: 6:36). In all of the solo mode vods I try to mention what you might see if damage is lower than mine . Same in Brel there's the gold maze mech I mention, but didn't experience. Thanks for bringing this up. I'll try to maybe cut in footage of the mech into future vods if I don't experience it.

It's a tough card set to get man. They do have some catchup mechs for new players. They are releasing a new jump start server that you could look into making a character on to see if they accelerate you past what you're currently at. The things off the top of my head if you're wanting to focus on cards. Is Legendary Card selectors become your objective. It sucks to do them now cause of the bots, but the Challenge Abyssals are a must do if you need selectors cause there's a chance to get the random and selector from them. Fate Embers can now also give you cards, which is great so doing your chaos and guardian raids everyday for a chance at that. The best thing is to look at the zoomed out global map every time you log in and hover check all of the wandering merchants that have the cards you want. Make sure you mark the cards as well so it's easy to identify. Then keep an eye on the reset timers of the vendors so you know when to check again. Wei and Balthor are the big ones for that. There's a unique vendor on Rowen that has a selector. We all did that reputation, pvp, and questlines every week to unlock the prestige for it. There are likely other vendors similar that I can't think of off the top of my head. But yeah, that's the grind. Your best bet in the meantime for getting groups is to recruit other LOS 18 players and then you guys "prog" together every week. Depending on what server you're on you can also join my Discord and I can include you in on runs you need if it's realistic to get it done. I'm on NAE. I can take you through Akkan, Ivory, and NM Thaemine. I play on Wednesday and Thursday nights in the EST timezone between 8pm - 2am. LOS 30 definitely helps, but there's a wide range of things you can do to min/max your characters output depending on what class you are, gems, your build, your gear set, whether that gear set is lvl 3 from Kayangel runs, skill points, tripod levels, etc.

If u are talking about gate 1 counter, its just the mechanics if u succeed the counter it will be available immediately to use again but if u faild it u will wait until the CD is finish

In Gate 1 the counter mechanic resets your counter every time you get a success. It's why in the 1st attempt I did it and failed to get the counter I couldn't counter and wiped. It also resets all of your abilities. So in the mode with teammates you can spam your skills real good between counters to build meter, do some extra dps, etc.

If you're talking about the skins themselves? You get dyable items then I use #000a11 for the hex code, which is like a really dark blue color. If you mean their skin-skin then there's an option to move the slider when making your character to a dark blue coloring. For warriors they actually have a black-out code you can look up. I don't know it off the top of my head.

They definitely need to address design features that are unhealthy for the game. Example: Solo raids need a gold increase and should be utilized to help jailed people get unjailed. Other things need to be designed for the enjoyment of replayability instead of the novelty of the first time you experience it. Be it raids, RNG systems, animations, etc.

Ouch, yeah it's super tough without LOS 18 or 30. Outside over over-honing (especially your weapon) and upgrading gems...is you could level up your demon damage from random card sets that are complete in the meantime. You'll waste some card XP, but gain a few % in damage against Akkan in the meantime. Focus on the ones that are Green and White cards first since they're cheaper to grind out. Make sure you're doing some challenge Abyssals. If you have friends do them so you don't get over-ran with bots. If you're on NA-East let me know and I can also try to help you out with them. Then you can just take any legendary cards that drop.

I think it's a really really bad idea. All of your damage comes from specialization scaling the crit damage on handgun skills. Your uptime on all of your skills is already constant. There's very rarely downtime on your skills if you're using spacebar, quick recharges, and c/j properly. Unless with T4 they completely change the scaling of the class... swiftness will always do significantly less than a spec Pistoleer.

@@nullen Hi, well, you need to understand that I am a beginner and I haven't faced bosses before, so I don't know their movements, abilities, and mechanics. How much time does it take to master this? You can remember from your first tries that if you don't know these things, you deal less damage, waste time on unnecessary actions, etc. The problem with all bloggers nowadays is that they say it's easy, but it's not. For example, on Brel G4, people without high GS cards and gems can't skip the last phase with the inverted movement, and I die terribly on it. Now I've been advised to skip the debuff using Sidereal or to try to remove 35 bars with Shandu. And a beginner, of course, wouldn't even guess about this.

So this was a blind run for solo mode? What's the difference from solo and group? Idk i dont think you should call this a blind run since you knew exactly what you were doing in all mechs of all gates, kinda misleading title Anyways, great work.

Solo Mode is a new mode that came out where they make multi-player raids / single player. It was blind in the sense that I didn't look up the differences before going in. It'd be like knowing the mechs of Normal mode and then going in "blind" and doing hard mode (not looking up the differences between the modes). I'd still consider that going in blind. So I was just trying to adapt to the changes in the moment and also pointing out all of the differences in the moment -- so people watching could also learn from it. Similarly, I did the same thing with Akkan and will do it for Kayangel and Klown. In Akkan, me going in blind caused me to wipe in gate 3 cause the tower system is completely different for 1 person to do it versus 7 people doing it. Pistoleer is all about uptime from every angle you can, but try to position for back attacks with the abilities that gain the benefit. Desperado and Meteor Streams can be used from all around the boss and are your top damage dealers. Then make sure your build has tons of crit. You can check out my guides on the why. But aim for 90's of self buff crit. Hallucination set lvl 3, precise dagger, adrenaline, your crit syn, secondary on neck and even bracelet if you get a good roll... I do spec, swift, precise on mine. Last tip is get high quality spec accessories. Since ur likely doing engraving support just stat those out. A Pistoleer scales crit DMG like crazy off spec it's why you want high crit.

Could be, the buffs might have some lost in translation aspects to them. Definitely worth just testing ones out and see how they feel per class.

They got stingy with the gold but idc I like that solo content is finally apart of the game now I can push my low level alts but it is kind of annoying that you can't start a gate with other players and then move to solo in case you get jailed that was a massive L but the rest was pretty solid so far.

Yeah np: Below is the setup I'd currently recommend for T3. T4 is TBD. So I'd hold back on investing too much in engravings at this point. But I personally run Pistoleer, Grudge, Precise Dagger, Adrenaline, Cursed Doll + 1 either Ether or Propulsion (I swap an accessory so I can choose). Then skills/tripods/rune/gem * Desperado 212 - Conviction (highest dmg/cd gem) * Deathfire 132 - Galewind (6th highest dmg gem) * Grenade 312 - Bleed (no gem) or Spiral 212 - Bleed (I use for prog & g2 thaemine for max mvspeed) (cd gem if you go raid captain instead of cursed doll - take cd gem from Equilbrium) * Equilbrium - 112 - Judgment (3rd highest dmg/cd) * Quick Shot - 121 - Quick Recharge (4th highest dmg/cd gems) * Cruel Tracker - 121 - Quick Recharge (5th highest dmg/cd gems) * Meteor Stream - 332 - Galewind (2nd highest dmg/cd gems) * Enforced - 1 - Purify/Quick Recharge (no gem)

@@kramlesterlopez Yeah, there's only a couple of required fights you use it for, otherwise it's useful to cleanse dots from yourself on fights that have burning. But the important ones are: Gate 1 of Akkan helps you from getting x10 stacks that legit will kill you if you aren't overhoned and Gate 3 of Thaemine to cleanse darkness from yourself so you can see the red mechs when they show up.

On this particular pull before I died...if I had to guess...lol.. I was doing around 23 million dps. On fights I'm not trying to be super safe on cause it's my potential first kill I can land around 25 - 30 million dps.

@@Matyouloid haha yeah you'll have to form a prog group for sure. Gates 1 & 2 HM isn't too hard to get done, especially if you make your own group. But Gate 3 is super hard to get groups for if you don't already have the lvl 7 transcendence.

hello nullen how are you my friend :) ? nullen i have a question i really like the skill "Dexterous Shot" because of the mobility it gives to the pj, from the buid you have which skill would you replace it with "Dexterous Shot"?

Dexterous Shot can't be used as a Pistoleer. You can use it if you run EW and put 4 points in it. But the old Pistoleer build used to have it until they gave us Desperado. Dexterous does zero DMG. If they put a counter on it then you could use it in place of Enforced.
