Harry Emelianov himself recently updated the volumetric clouds system, and I myself have moving to UE4.24's atmospheric sky and overhaul the time of day system. the lowest i can get my pb is 1:30. might try more later here's some strats for a better run: in the first screen, you can dash cancel to the first platform, then dash diagonally up to the second, then preform another dash cancel to the top. on the second screen, walldashing the far right side can save 1-2 seconds. on the third screen, you can walldash off the left wall to save time instead of climbing it. on the fourth screen, walldash off the moving platform on the fifth screen, walldash of the left side of the floating chunk. I'm trying to improve my time as well, but there are plenty of tiny time saves. I'll mention 2 VERY substantial time saves as well. at 1:15 and 1:32, you can just wavedash over the gaps. the only way i can improve my time rn is through either perfecting every time save i know and am capable of, or learning to master pixel-perfect exploit to jump off spikes and scale walls. one thing i'd recommend is looking up an advanced movement tutorial on youtube. there are plenty, and they're also how I learned to perfect tricky things like wavedashing.

Hello "The Hoodie Guy": Are these volumetric clouds and do these clouds also cast shadows on the ground?

Unfortunately, the cloud itself doesn't cast shadows. You could use render target to manipulate the light function, but beware that it causes hitches every recapture, even with super tiny render target.

Not exactly my clouds, but yes it did. Simply change the engine version in the .UPLUGIN file to supress the wrong engine warning prompt.

Toggle "Show Plugin Content" on the Content Browser, or perhaps type volumetric clouds on the Modes tab.

You can use it whatever you like, for free! Although after downloading the plugin, I would recommend creating your own handler for the cloud, since the one built-in is still unoptimised and prone to crashing.

Hey, i managed to make it work in 4.23 ,by disabling "use dynamic material", otherwise nothing show up, but now the clouds are not moving anymore... EDIT: HO this is tricky, add the cloud blueprint from the content folder and NOT from Modes menu ( box, volumes ect )

I also managed to get it work *and* moving in 4.23, without disabling dynamic material option. Of course, in this video I used my own handler to optimise it and integrate it with my day-night cycle system, by binding the parameters present in the cloud material to the system.

Thank you for the compliment! Unfortunately, my project is closed source, including the sky system, so I can't provide my own modification as verbatim download. However, I can tell you what I did modify to make it more optimized performance wise: 1. I modified the way the cloud updates. In the original handler code, the material's time variable is updated every single frame, which is, while resulting in accurate cloud movement, causing a quite performance loss. Therefore, in my own handler code, I put a Delay node before updating the material's time variable, making the cloud updates in lower framerate. There is some stuttering issue due to this, and I'm still experimenting with lerping to circumvent the issue. 2. I also modified the shadow projection thing. The original code does uses Screen Capture 2D to project the shadow from the clouds, but it updates every single frame at high resolution, of course it results in huge performance loss. Therefore, in my own handler, I put a Delay node before updating the Scene Capture, with twice the cloud's delay duration. I also shrink down the capture resolution down to 256x256 in R8 only, resulting in 64KB of raw capture texture, and even better performance. This capture texture then fed into a light function, to be applied on the Sun's directional light, projecting the shadow map. I also yet to experiment with lerping the capture for smoother motion, but shadow motion in large scale shadows aren't that noticeable anyway.
