after selling my old a77ii, i bought a used a7c for just under 1000€. i also bought a tamron 28-75mm 2.8 for 450. since then i've been taking pictures almost every day again, before that i didn't feel like lugging the heavy old camera around and it was no fun anymore. the a7c fits in every pocket and is also a lot of fun to work with

Just wanted to check that I already have a V1pro and AD 300pro. I was planning to buy one additional flash. I primarily focus on product photography. Do you think AD100pro will be useful for product photography? along with Rosco diffusion. Moreover, I also have AKR kit which i think will be useful for V1pro, AD300 pro and now if I decide to buy AD100 pro. I was only curious to buy AD200 pro only becoz of its barebulb option? please advise if AD100 pro will be perfect combination for product photography?

I think the fall off is caused by the subject being brighter because the light is closer, then the metering lowers the exposure because of the light on the brighter subject causing the background to be darker.

I own all of the Godox Parabolic units as well as Bron color 88 133 222, and Selens Edge 90 120 and 150. Broncolor is great. Selens is the same if not better for 90 and 120 units compared to Broncolor. GODOX is softer and warmer. I shove all three of these with the same setup with a model. We both agreed.They all perform in their own particular way. I think the godox is sort of like a parabolic meets a soft box. It is not as aggressive as the others. This is not necessarily a bad thing. If you want to shoot female subjects with a little bit more wrap or have the quality of a parabolic mixed with a fill light at certain positions?I think this is a perfect modifier, set. I will also say that this unit is a lot nicer to use.And I love the carrying case. For me, sometimes the traveling experience of the product can be as important as the way it performs.

thx Rob! just wondering how this set up effects the AD200's already quick overheating issue slowing down recycle times.? also have you experienced motion blur in images at slower shutter speeds when using the modeling lamp in none highspeed sync situations, since there no shutter black out on the ML ? thx a bunch
@robhallphoto
@robhallphoto 14 күн бұрын
For the first question, you are effectively dropping your output a little over 1 stop to create the equivalent exposure of a single unit, which means an increase in number of flashes before thermal protection kicks in. For instance you'd be at 1/4 +.7 instead of 1/1, meaning your thermal protection count would be 150 rapid flashes rather than 60. Second question. No, I never ran into that because I never use the modeling lamps on these lights. I think that would only be an issue in very low light.
@kosmonparran4495

@@robhallphoto I was thinking more in line with using the 2 flashes at higher power settings in order to use that extra power in situations where one 200 would not work at the distance I want the light exc. and so the question is did having the 2 flashes back to back both getting hot together implead them from cooling off more efficiently than if there was just one with air flow all around. not a strait forward question I know but I figured you have used these quite a bit and may have noticed a performance shift in different situations with one or two lights in the duel mount. thx so much for your timely detailed responses :)
@robhallphoto
@robhallphoto 14 күн бұрын
@ oh, the proximity has no impact in the recycle speed slowing down. The AD200s don’t monitor temperature, they work off a counter system. That’s why thermal protection can be overridden by removing and reinserting the battery.

I think going back to the incremental slots for the head angle adjustment was a bad Idea. that is one of the most annoying things about the original not being able to have full control of your angle and smooth feeling adjustments as well. if you tighten down the washer version it holds fine.

@@latinimagecl by default the R2TN (Godox X2T-N) is not compatible with the SL-360N. Because the R2TN operates on 2.4Ghz wireless networks whereas the SL-360N uses previous generation 433Mhz (via the Ftr-16 receiver and FT-16 transmitter). However there is a “bridge receiver” called the XTR-16. This receiver plugs into the SL-360N just like the FTR-16 and will receive a signal from the R2TN. This same transmitter/receiver combo will also work with the Godox Wistro AD360 (not to be confused with the AD360II, which has a 2.4Ghz receiver built in).
