Hello! Could you please make a tutorial on how to make a shamballa browband with the leather ends. Or if anyone viewing this could help me it would be appreciated! X

Hi, what glue do you use to stick the ribbons on the rosette and tails?
@browbandguru51525 жыл бұрын
For velvet ribbon I use Evostick for the tails but satin ribbon needs a fabric glue as the Evostick can discolour it. I use a hot glue gun for the rosettes.

I was wondering where you get your long strips of leather from which are in the background? (or if you just buy the ends)
@browbandguru51525 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I have a leatherwork business so I buy in large pieces and cut to size. The ends sometimes come from offcuts of that. I do sell the long strips if you needed any to use though.

Where can I get this leather from

How would you attach the cord of a shamballa browband into the end loops? Thank you :)
@browbandguru51526 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell, I generally knot them very tightly. You can tie the ends around the rivet stem and conceal the knot in the end loop. I teach the full method in my courses, web address above if you're interested.

+My total teenage life Yes I do, if you contact [email protected] I can give you a quote for whichever type, length, width you need. Thanks.

When measuring the leather strip, do you measure the length you want the actual browband (for example 16") and then add on how many inches for the end loops?
@browbandguru51529 жыл бұрын
+PrinceInHisGlory Yes, I add 5" onto the length of the browband I want to produce, so a 16" browband I would cut the leather at 21". This gives a decent sized loop at the ends.

A few people have asked about the base of the rosettes. I use a stiff fabric called buckram, its used for stiffening shirt collars and some has an iron on surface. I find this is stiffer than normal stiffening fabrics.

Do you ship to America? I've been looking EVERYWHERE for simple plain browbands and yours are the first ones that fit my needs!!
@browbandguru51529 жыл бұрын
+Elisabeth Anderson Sorry, I've only just seen your comment. I sell them via www.lovelyleather.co.uk in various widths, lengths etc.

I would like to know if you have ever made an interchangeable browband? And do you ever sew the ends of the bridle instead of putting the ribbit to close it? Also,is there a wholesale place to buy the leather strips? Thanks much!
@browbandguru51529 жыл бұрын
+Kathy Knopp Hi Kathy, sorry I have only just seen your comment. Yes, I do make handsewn browbands too, I have just shown this video for the people who cover browbands with ribbon and don't need the best quality. I buy my leather in whole pieces and cut to size but I would be able to sell you strips if you would like some.

How do you connect your rosette to the browband itself?
@browbandguru51529 жыл бұрын
+Amaya Nelson I use a good amount of hot glue and attach to the tails. You can't glue straight to the leather because it just doesn't bond well. Its best mounted onto the tails as the glue will penetrate into the ribbon and give you a good bond.

Yes, we sell them on Browbands UK. They are not long enough to close the end loops for Shamballa browbands though. Thanks.

i disagree, it is a very informative video. I think the comments below about talking less are very uncalled for. Thankyou very much for this video, it has helped clear alot of things
@browbandguru515212 жыл бұрын
Well, I do agree in some respects but there are already videos to show you how to make rosettes for browbands. What I try to do is give a more in depth explanation of how to get the structure right in the first place as the title of the video suggests. By having this understanding I feel people will learn better instead of just being told to do this, and do that. I will take your comments on boards and change any future videos.
