When he was in Italy, he played against the best defenders in the world, and they played hard and chased him all over the pitch. But he never complained about it. He's still the most fouled player in the world in 90 minutes (53 times). I think that was against South Korea. That was their only chance to stop him. Watch closely, because you'll never see a player like him again. He single-handedly won the 1986 World Cup. Take a closer look at number #18. The wall is only 4 meters away from the ball. He asks Pecci (the other player on the ball) to pass the ball backwards. Pecci says: How are you going to play over the wall? - He replies: Just play the ball, I'll do the rest. That was one of the best and most incredible goals he ever scored. He never played for money. RIP D10S 🙏

I would say, at least tactically, there is a strong argument for Pep Guardiola being the greatest tactician in premier league history. Sir Alex Ferguson was definitely a big tactician aswell, especially in that ucl final in 99 when he moved beckham to the midfield and played a possession based style which was kind of rare in the 90s imo, outside Cruyff s barca probably. But at least as a tactician pep moving the fullbacks to the midfield, pushing one cb as a libero in the midfield and make the goalkeeper a ballplaying player makes him revolutionary in premier league terms at least. Either way Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola are both pl manager goats. Regarding Alex Ferguson though, 13 pl titles in 20 years is still a crazy hard achievement. And even if pep stays ar city we dont know if he could have done something like that. Just my opinion though😊💯⚽👍
@jvmsports77711 күн бұрын
I still agree that Pep is the greatest tactician ever, and I also agree that Cruyff has to be up there too; his school of though is just too impactful. But as far as Sir Alex, no one is beating 13, Pep is already looking to leave and he's been the most dominant
@fredrikdahl123011 күн бұрын
@@jvmsports777 i agree with you that sir Alex Ferguson 13 premier league titles will never be matched, even if pep stayed. Simply because i believe that Alex Ferguson was/is ingrained in the Manchester United culture and also because managers stayed longer at one club before in the past. Even if pep stayed in city he has to potentially go through multiple transitional periods with the squad, and there are no guarantees that players like kdb and Haaland stays either. Also what Alex Ferguson did with Manchester United is unique in the sense that he had alot of success while staying at the club for around 27 years! Which makes his achievements even more impressive considering the multiple squads he managed at Manchester United 😊🤙💯⚽👍
