This was superior! After all the garbage I have to endure by the ignorant, this gave me hope! I have 45 years of Wing Chun and still training, teaching & learning. Its not a dying art; a most deadly art and a hidden beauty for those with discipline.

I've practiced for over a decade and then really studied heavy on the jeet kune do side of the system. Because of my structure jeet kune do flows easier for me not by a lot but enough to where it taught me to be soft. I remember the days people thought wing tsun was fake. Those people really aren't around anymore because hearing to be soft was crazy trust me I grew up around western boxing style and mindset on one side, on the other side I grew up around martial arts chinese boxing style. My first 7 years of wing tsun I could not get soft and flow the right way and buying a dummy for 1000 USD. wasn't the best thing to do either. It was hard to reverse the hardened mindset it gives you takes years I've just recently improved techniques by being smooth and right flow, and I was stuck for about almost 4 years. I've practiced for a little over 12 years now total. Being soft with strength and technique is the hardest thing to do. Respect to all true sifu's and disciple's around the world. Love these documentaries.

( I'm not expert in fighting) but the philosophy I've learnt here is. Whatever you do in your life, do it with calm heart and focused mind, instead of frightened heart and confused mind.

Protect the centre line. Very energy effecient style of martial arts. Only down fall is being stationary. Thats why bruce lee said there is not one perfect fighting technique. Its always the one thats more skillful using the technique that will conquer the fight

Great video! Only something overall (not specific for this video, just overall): To write the chinese names in 3 single names is a little bit outdated. Today in 2021 the western world has adopted to writhe cantonese and korea names with hyphen, and mandarin names together. From today´s standards, Wong Shun Leung should be written as: Wong Shun-leung or Shun-Leung in cantonese and Huang Chunliang in mandarin (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wong_Shun-leung) Same with other names like Shan Wah-shun or Yim Wing-chun (mandarin Yan Yongchun) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yim_Wing-chun en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chan_Wah-shun Not important but maybe interesting for some people. So or so i like the doc very much! :D
