Excelent video. Have you tried to interface the robot with ROS? That'd be an excellent project.

Hey man did you use just one battery for it? How long does it last on one charge? I used your files to print it and I'm just figuring out electronics and stuff, and I'm thinking of going with a 300 mah 2s instead of 3s because I'll be using a much much heavier blade and a higher KV motor

I wonder if something like this has the rigidity to mill aluminum or even steel.

i remembered after graduating university, i worked as an engineer in a local sheet metal stamping factory. the CNC turret punch still uses floppy disc for the program..we had to transfer the files from a crappy pc into the disk and hand the disk over to the operator.

Why not silicone form?
@BrianBrocken
@BrianBrocken 3 ай бұрын
Because the fibers need to be compressed together. If you would use a silicone mold and try to compress it, the model would be deformed.

If you design a 3d printed part with those thin walls, of course it breaks lol. How does it do if you actually design it for 3d printing?
@BrianBrocken
@BrianBrocken 3 ай бұрын
Of course you would have to print it thicker, that's exactly what i did with my previous aluminium frame (see my latest Delorean build video) and that's also why it was to heavy and why i'm now making the frame out of carbon fiber. It's just a comparison to show the strength of 2 identical parts, one 3D-printed and the other made out of carbon fiber.
