Nathan, thank you. We are buying you 2014 exocet from Paul. How do you separate the foils ? He needs to ship the boat and foils in the Moth box. Thanks Douglas

Thank you so much for bringing this class of sailors up for the interview. Met some of them during my Moth foiling days between age 60 and 70. Would like to get back into it after paused for 5 years, but an accident during my DN racing destroyed my fitness level. Wishing them all the best and fun and all. Good health and flying high!

I'm sure you spent half of this pointless video just saying the sponsors' names... Actually, that's probably the reason you went and published it!

Since the moth it's no stable I would try to text foil in small aluminium dingy. The Hull is about 48 kg I am 73kg the foil in ruder and kill is about. 80 cm x 15cm . Will it work?

Could anybody please explain why they need these sticks hitting the water in the front end of the boat?
@onpahanvaan3 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you have gotten your answer already but I've understood that the "stick" unjusts the flap on the main foil according to the boat height, lower = more lift, higher = less lift.

Hire a couple of drones and please shoot the full races. This should be a TV sport but it can't gain a wider following when it's not even shot for YT.
@mothclass3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback, the videographer (Beau Outteridge) is also taking photos for the event, so unable to provide full race coverage. With a larger team this would be possible.
Hey Everyone. It’s great to see that the 2021 Worlds are happening! These highlight reels are well done but they always leave me starving... We’d love 💗 to see FULL Races!!! Your dear fans would be soooooooooo HAPPY 😊 They wouldn’t have to be all fancy either. Coverage done strictly off of drones is all it’d take to make me happy 😆
@peterdoherty8763 жыл бұрын
Yep - full races would be great!

Hey, this event is the Australian Moth Nationals, therefore we don't have a big media team covering the racing, so the coverage will be limited.

This line down from the bow of the boat, keeps irritating me.
@xen0pk3164 жыл бұрын
its not a line, its tied to the main foil and is responsible for stable flight.
@callumwyper4 жыл бұрын
tony16074 it’s called a wand, it senses the height of the boat and I responsable for adjusting the flap on the main foil accordingly to keep the boat at a stable height

What kind of an alien sail it that one that Benoit has? Why that weird shape at the bottom of it? Just for convenience ?
@sonar73955 жыл бұрын
How do you balance the boat? Weight seems like it would be the biggest coarse adjustment, but how should the main sheet and rudder be used if at all to balance the boat?

Hey, great video. Thanks for doing this. Quick question: Is it possible to sail a Moth without the foils in place? Say for beginners or for parent/kid operation where foiling isn't expected? Or are the foils required even at low speeds?
@Zygotoo565 жыл бұрын
Dave Ferreira there really is no point sailing without them, even for beginners
