I use the bat wing and the ex hook. I tie a piece of paracord onto the bat wing and I hang it on that then I have two hands to put the other two straps on. It’s a piece of cake doing it that way

I keep seeing videos stating that this bow holder can be used with crossbows but I haven’t found one yet that shows a crossbow.

I have had the same pair of Yosemite 6x30s for a long time and I concur that they are the most bang for the buck binos I think have ever been manufactured. I just wish the newer version didn't have that ugly Klingon face finish.

Also carrying some screw in or strap on steps and a rope to act as a lineman's belt for hanging cameras up out of reach has been helpful for me.

I seem to recall that your channel was one of the original "Public Land Hunting" channels, if not the first one. Is that true ? When did you first start posting videos ? It's been a while. Thanks for the video(s). Congrats and good luck.

I'd say 9 years ago we were one of very few channels that had Public Hunting vids for Whitetails. We have hunted Public land since the mid 90's and have always enjoyed its challenges. Any video that we put up now is just for fun and memories. thanks for watching.

I like this set up for a scouting pack just a slight add on and small change would make it perfect. If you like a hot meal to eat I would also add a small but comprehensive fire/cook kit along with a mess kit with a folding stove like a debit stove that can use multi forms of fuel to cook with or something simular use steel as it is sturdier for use also home made m.r.e.'a are fun to make other add on would be something for emergency shelter for just in case. And last I would chang out the charger for a solar charger. They make some good ones that fold up and can be hung from a back pack and are lite weight for carrying and will work even in heavy over cast sky's. Also if possible add a fire arm for self defense (2--4 legs ) just in case bears can be a problem sometimes.

Do you climb with your bow on the holder??
@christianpaul33033 жыл бұрын
What are you using for a safety when placing those sticks first? Static lifeline not there already. Lineman's belt? Don't ever climb without at least one safety line. You've been lucky.

Well thought out well delivered concise and good info but don’t like music on hunting video. Nature sounds are one of the many things I enjoy about bow hunting deer.

Just back into deer hunting after 10 years.That was all either dog hunting or just go sit in the stand I was told to.Here at this public wma I havent scouted the woods but by topo map and driving the roads.There doesnt seem to be much pressure here.In about 4 days of driving and two days hunting the most vehicles ive seen in a day is three besides me.Fri and Saturday was my first days hunting and both spots I sat I found rubs and what I think is bedding within 50 yards of spots I thought were good on the map.Heres my question.I figured it'd be best to avoid grass patches but there doesnt seem to be much pressure to me and there are a LOT of small to medium grass patches.Im not looking to kill only big bucks.When,if at all, should I sit a grass patch on public?
@publiclandhunters17124 жыл бұрын
Id try to find a good observation tree that you can look out over these grassy patches if they are bedding see how the bucks are using them and move in for the kill .

Please don't think he showed the proper way to us the EZ hang hook!!! It also requires a second strap on the top button. Really surprised he did not stress this.
@publiclandhunters17125 жыл бұрын
lone wolf recommends using the "TOP" only.. not both.. i prefer using the bottom button.. its a personal choice.
@riverfallscory4 жыл бұрын
@@publiclandhunters1712 yeah this is not safe. It might be working for you but its not safe. Should have a strap on the top and bottom buttons.
@HuhWhatHuhwhatHuh4 жыл бұрын
Public Land Hunters read that again. It specifically says top “Versa Button” because people tend to use the bottom Versa Button with the EZ hang. Unless I’m missing something it looks like you’re using no straps, just the easy hang strap, and that’s def not recommended.

For that top strap with the hook on it to hang your stand on does that take place of your top strap or do you still need to use a top strap also?
@publiclandhunters17125 жыл бұрын
yes easy hang takes its place.

If you use that easy hang system do you have to keep bat wing off?
