Thank you for sharing such a wonderful May Day event with those of us who long to live near such a magical honoring of the season, but alas... live across an ocean! Hawkwood looks to be a very special place, as does Stroud. Well done!

Really interesting question about how Museum's could look at where their funding is alongside this idea of beauty. I guess it starts with companies and funders changing their minds of what beauty is.... Museums could help companies and funders to further that idea

I am so tuned into this and love nature. Can you explain why does the Southern Cape bubu's sound ecos through the forest but not the others. One must be careful what you teach whom John, where I live to many men with their boys only wants to kill, not preserve, love or apresiate. Wonderful finding you

I'm leaving a comment that some of you may not like much, especially those of you living in Britain. The sentiments in Britain serve often too much fuss and much ado about nothing. I've lived for almost 5 years in Britain, actually, near Totnes. At any rate, what I really like to share here, is my view on "the liveliness and bright eyes, present in the room", triggered by the exercise Rob Hopkins introduced his presentation with. A clever choice, from a psychological point of view. Start with creating a sense of involvement in the audience and the rest what follows is a suggestion of an animated discourse. For how long? I wonder. It's nothing more than a form of entertainment, in this case, non-practical ideas It's known, in Britain, that a fanatic stance often rules, when it's about the propaganda of Climate Change reports and demonstrating on street-corners, pushing flyers on passers-by with grim faces, while 40% of the landfill coming from households, is filled with food. That's an example of how British citizens push their hands in the sand. The question within Transition Network that needs to be asked, is "What's the subject that needs liveliness and bright eyes in the room, in order to affect the practice of daily life? Those appearances, such as in this video, seem to become the primary goal and not the means by which we collectively start tackling our problems, finding solutions. Let alone informing ourselves about the facts in sobriety and the absence of collective hypnosis that suggests collective efforts in an audience. Wait until the audience leaves the room and watch results.

Deepest thanks to Bruce for a most wonderfully enlightening and relaxed talk of matters so close to our hearts, also to Seed Festival for providing this special occasion, and Hawkwood for sharing :-) Deepest thanks to Burgs and Bruce; most invaluable all together, and just what I've been looking for :-) Please allow me to share with you - In the space of the all seeing we grow, and awake to the knowing of all things invaluable, and life eternal... I enter heaven with nothing, Within that place in the heart, Where the divine may reside. I don't disturb the everything, I kowtow And be with harmony there. Let the essence of life be breathed into your everything And, your sense of life be Of everything heavenly; May you find paradise And life fulfilled. - by me (C.R. Hall) ----------------------- May the tree of life that forever Grows strong in your heart Be forever green, And those fruits of the harvest Forever nourish your soul... Feed the tree. - by me (C.R. Hall) ----------------------- My universal family, My ancestors are echoed In your spirit. My great heavenly Father (Tey) in blue Bows his strength over And arcs in multi colour, Aigis; a promise to protect. My great heavenly Mother (Mey)'s radiance Warms my soul And lights my way, For shadowy pasts to fall behind. My heavenly brother (Sey) reflecting The great heart, Supporting all my dreams In the company of the infinite. My heavenly sister (Wey) withstanding All our prodigy, For a communion of souls, And aiding in provision. I am eternally thankful For the presence of My universal family. - by me (C.R. Hall) ---------------------- Peace being not still but as a Soft, free flowing wave... Why does there have to be longing To want to embrace love? Longing is high and low like Extreme altitude. The peaks suffer the freeze, The valleys succumb to floods, Without longing the plains dry. Belonging is the land where Love meets life and the living are born. With the will of life And the heart of love, So I travel within the seasons of the sun. As life follows a path Of constant change, I will follow the seasons; And, winter speed me on In my living And in my death. So, the season of fertility Is life beckoning, And the season of growth It's motion And, of maturity it's progress. - by me (C.R. Hall) -------------------- When we wake, We will see ourselves protesting Against our own wrong doings, We will know our hearts In place of desire and See that humanity will be fulfilled. - by me (C.R. Hall) ...With appreciation for all other's inspiring comments and love shared here.

I saw the film last night and thought it was very powerful. We need to get the message across as I believe people are oblivious to what is going on (or choose to act like it). Well done to Bruce for creating a film like this, hopefully it will be seen by many.

Bruce's inabiliity to get settled in the green revolving chair amused me. I've always liked Bruce Parry what a wonderfully insightful, well grounded, genuinely loving, caring individual who really wants improvement, equality, harmony amongst all nations - for the sake of a better planet & sustainable existence as the bigger picture. I was surprised that only 194 people (me included) had viewed & two had 'likes' with no 'dislikes' (& rightly so) This being the only comment at this time.
